In the world of The Dresden Files, magic is real, along with ghouls, vampires, demons, spirits, faeries, werewolves, and other mythical monsters. Harry Dresden works to protect the general public, who are ignorant of magic and the dark forces conspiring against them. This makes it difficult for Harry to get by as a working wizard and private eye.
Teen Wolf is the story of awkward teenager Scott McCall and how his life changes forever when he is bitten by a werewolf and becomes one himself. Some changes are positive - increased prowess in sports, super-hearing and a boost in confidence. But there are problems, and dangers, that come along with being a werewolf.

Hi, my name is Stiles Stilinski and I'm a Wizard (I don't do love potions, endless purses or parties), and no, Stiles isn't my real name, but true names have power so it's what people call me. My life is... complicated. 'Kay so the cliff notes version is that after my parents died, my uncle Peter took me in as his apprentice. Unfortunately for me, he was as dark as dark could get and when I refused to play ball he came after me and I 'self defensed' him to death. Now that got me in trouble with The White Council, a bunch of very powerful wizards whose purpose it is to enforce the Laws of Magic (the first being Thou shalt not kill by use of magic, whoops). So I ended up under 'The Doom of Damocles' which basically means I have a White Council lackey breathing down my neck every time I (or my apprentice) so much as blinks funny. Speaking of which that brings me to...

Derek Hale. Warden of the White Council, werewolf and never ending pain in the rear (and not even the good kind). His mission in life is apparently to appear randomly and slam me into walls and/or threaten various body parts with rather specific and graphic threats (and just between you and me? The red eyes and teeth make those threats really effective). I can't hate the guy though, not since I found out a rogue wizard used magic to burn his family home to the ground with his family trapped inside. Apparently she tried to use the preemptive self defense card since they were werewolves, so yeah. I'd probably hate me too.

The White Council tentatively approved the partnership with the understanding that his actions fall under my Doom, so if he sticks even so much as a furry little toe out of line we both lose our heads. Joy. Course he's head over heels in love with Allison Argent the Head Detective in charge of Preternatural Crime, so luckily he has more then one thing keeping him line... Of course that brings us to love of my life...

Okay so she really won't give me the time of day unless she has a supernatural problem she needs my help with, and even if she did it would certainly make double dating with my apprentice rather uncomfortable. She controls criminal underworld with a velvet gloved iron fist and has personally 'disappeared' several of her own men for harming innocents while conducting business. Though when it comes to messed up love lives...

Jackson, my half brother (though you would never know it looking at us). Where I'm all lanky limbs and witty one liners, he's perfection personified (so not fair). Granted that perfection comes with the small price of feeding daily from the regular folks. He's a White Court Vampire which means he feeds on emotions, lust specifically. The standard anti-vampire weapons (garlic, crosses, holy water, etc) don't effect White Court Vampires. Instead their special brand of kryptonite is True Love which, when they attempt to feed on someone in True Love, causes severe burns. This makes his relationship with former long-term feeding partner Danny poetically tragic. On one hand he and Danny can never touch again, on the other Danny is safe from being used by other vampires.
