So after a long wait I finally got to see The Last Airbender. For a non-fan of the show i guess it's ok, as a fan of the show I'm sorry it could've been so much better. The story line at the open was rushed. a few things were swapped around, like when Katara accidently froze Sokka, was supposed to happen at the Southern Water Tribe, not in the Earth Kingdom. Also, the camp for the earth benders wasnt on a ship, wtf? Lame LAME.
Jou's death was just all sorts of fucked up. There was no uber-cool water bender monster of avatar doom. He was drowned in a water bubble by 4 water benders....why??
The whole thign was rushed, parts were missing. No Kyoshi warriors, which I knew, but wtf? What are they gonna do with Suki later??
Katara was annoying. She's supposed to be motherly-ish but she was more, childish. Some key things were left out.
Sokka was not his loving witty poor-humour self. That's what made him Sokka. too serious. Pro though, there was still Sokka-buse hehe. Not as much as there should've been.
Another thing that drove me nuts was their new pronounciation of some names. Iroh wasn't too bad, i liek they kept him to his true-natured self, but he came off as a bit stupid at some points which is not true. He always knew when someone was up to something.
Aang's portrayal was off too. He was, emo, dare I say it. They dragged out the "I never wanted to be the avatar" bit. It wasnt needed.
Koh was non-existant too. It was all the 'spirit dragon'. And the air temple with the avatar's of the past, wtf? fail.... they chopped up the story line and swapped pieces around. I hope the next one is a lot freaking better, and they better not screw with Toph too.
