Good distractions...
I've been trying to brainstorm an alternate ending to my fic, The Contract, to give it a "happier" ending - and I think I've got a basic plot outlined in my head. I'll try writing that next, before I start my first "hug" fic (which I will probably combine with iateaburgerrrrr's prompt: original character). Notice a pattern? I like to "kill two birds with one stone" (i.e. combine prompts/challenges to be more "efficient" ;).) I had been thinking of writing for wizard_love, but I don't think I'll have the time (since I already have over thirty fics on the back burner). crushw_eyeliner told me via email a smidgen of her lazarus idea, which just added to my depression from last night (honestly, I am getting too sensitive, caring about fictional characters and their well-being). Note to self: Get a Grip! :) Sure, there's fandrool for Robert/Katie, Cedric/Cho, but it's just fiction! Not real life! But even real life is depressing sometimes (i.e. the *grumble*stupid*grumble* war).
