Happy New Year!

... and here I am already looking forward to Summer movies ... ;) (I blame Rick Dees since I caught a snippet of his morning show today on my drive to work.) ;D

Movies coming and their release dates:

* May 4: Spider-Man 3
* May 18: Shrek the Third
* May 25: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
* June 8: Ocean's Thirteen
* June 15: Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer
* July 4: Transformers
* July 13: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
* July 27: The Simpsons Movie
* August 3: The Bourne Ultimatum
* August 10: Rush Hour 3

I never got into the Pirates of the Caribbean craze (have yet to fully watch the first two movies), but didn't the last one just come out last year? Or am I a year off? If it it did, maybe they shot both movies back to back (like the Lord of the Rings trilogy) since it takes a while in post-production for special effects and whatnot.

And I'm surprised they're bringing the Transformers to the big screen. That'll be interesting, though I don't think I'd watch it since I wasn't a Transformers die-hard fan when I was a tyke. I did like He-Man and She-Ra and Jem (god, I'm old) but the last time they tried to make a He-Man movie (isn't there one out there or am I senile?) was like in the 80s, I think, and you can imagine how CHEESY it was. AND I knew it was cheesy even when I was little!

Harry Potter will coincide with Book 7's release date (between July 7 and July 13) so the publicity surrounding one can only help the other and vice versa.

I think my sister liked the Bourne movies, but yet again I need to watch it. I heard The Good Shepard is nothing like the Bourne movies, so if you're hoping it is, don't expect it.

And Rush Hour 3 just amuses me...
