I went into this briefly on quiet_charm (like the plug, calledinvain? ;) ) but since sevarem asked, I'm posting how I was drawn into the beautiful rare ship of Cedric and Cho.

I like(d) H/Hr because Hermione is more developed as a character than Ginny. But I understand the angle JKR is going with. It's like Star Wars - Luke / Leia / Han. With Harry=Luke, Leia=Hermione, Han=Ron. Not necessarily personality-wise, but in the sense that the Harry/Hermione bond is platonic (JKR won't let it get more than platonic) and that Hermione/Ron is the romance.

I suppose my enjoyment of the CC ship revolves around the fact that they are minor characters. I can develop them as I'd wish they were developed ;) I can play around more with their backgrounds than say with any of the major characters. Besides, it doesn't hurt that the actors are cute together.

And I think it is because I'm not too into the Harry/Cho ship. I wish they would've gotten to know each other, but since their ship has sunk, and JKR wants the true ship to be Harry/Ginny, I try to find an alternate ship for Cho. (yeah, I've seen Cho/Ginny, Cho/Hermione, and other femmeslash too) Also Cho/Oliver (not too common either), Cho/Roger (I suppose it could be okay, but I've only seen a few fics where they make Cedric gay to top it), Cho/Michael (don't know too much about Michael).
