Just cruising around lj - noticed a few other communities - ones that "stamp" you a certain house or character, both HP and non-HP related. Should I try? Do I want to be stamped? It would, of course, just be for fun. Do I want to fill the applications? Do I even like applications? *grumble* Should this be a way to get used to filling

I rather enjoyed The Bourne Identity, though keep meaning to read the books.

Well, its much easier to build on previously established success, than create something new.

The Bourne Identity is good, but I understand the mood thing completely. I've really been in a fantasy movie mood lately. I'm so glad Howl's Moving Castle comes out tonight (as does GoF ;]). More Myazaki....woo hoo!!! Have you seen it and/or read the book it's based on? Diana Wynne Jones is a fantasitic and entertaining writer of young adult fantasy. I'm 25 and I enjoy her! :D
I'm sure I should know what it stands for, but what is NCIS?

I haven't seen any of Myazaki's stuff yet. I've been meaning too - since it's getting rave reviews and even Oscar nods... but never got around to it. And that's a book too???? God, I'm so out of it.

Oh, every film is worth the hours spent viewing. (Beware of The Cat's Return, though. I have a friend that really likes it, but I thought it was rushed. Then again, it's Myazaki's protege (or what have you) that directs it instead of him.) I'd list my personal favorites, but then you'd just be getting a list of most of the films anyway. ;) Check him out...soon! :D

As for stamping comms, I think they're kind of pointless. You fill out an application, a bunch of people vote and you get a little graphic saying you've been "stamped" as whichever character. And then you're done. I suppose you could put your stamp in your lj profile.
If I were to be stamped, I'd try to rig it so I could be Professor Angelina Ginny McGonagall. That'd be awesome.

I kinda figured that about stamping comms, but I thought it might be "fun" (and also give me something to do ;) and create my own 'stamps' if I don't like theirs ;).
Your triple stamp would be quite an image :D

I'll try and post a few snippets from the novel in my LJ, but it is my favorite DWJ novel, as well as one of my top ten favorite books, period. I read it when I was in junior high and have carried it with me ever since.
It's just a perfectly done fantasy/action/comedy/drama with a great heroine and hero (?) and romance done sparingly but well. You just want to find out more about the main characters.
also, stampppppp?
Alright.

I think I want to be calledinvain when I grow up. ;)
and is that a scene from the movie (the one they're walking in the background)? I don't remember seeing it in any screen caps at all. or is that another behind-the-scenes thing?

I've never seen Bourne Identity. I usually love sci-fi movies but this one seemed boring.

I thought Bourne Identity was more action than sci-fi. It's like those spy-flicks. Spies? Are they working for the 'good guys'? or are the 'bad guys' pretending to be 'good guys'? and what to do if you're a spy and lose your memory- who do you trust? etc. I'm still not in a "mood" to watch it... maybe because GoF just came out on dvd.

Ridiculously handsome, that man - and not a word of dialogue in English. It was pretty awesome.
The plot was pretty easy to figure out within five minutes of viewing - Blah blah save the woman he loves, he's been made - but BY WHO? BY WHO? Explosions and violence occurs as Matt Damon takes on the entire CIA etc, etc.
