Headmuses - The Analysis
I have occasionally mentioned to people that as an RPer I have a bunch of character aka muses in my head at all times, ready for action when needed, and sometimes taking over my head when they feel like it (not to be confused with multiple personality disorder though). Some people find it odd, some don't care one way or another, some find it cool, and some can relate to it and understand completely what I mean.
The other day one of my friends/RP partners mentioned how my muses sure share some similar themes/characteristics, and that got me thinking. Sure, I can see some of them sharing certain qualities, but now that it was mentioned I started wondering just how similar they are and just what the heck is going on in my head. So this is me writing a TL;DR essay about it.
Here's a summary of the contents:
Section 1: The muses
Section 2: Chaos vs Order
Section 3: Evil vs Good
Section 4: Destructive power
Section 5: Final Conclusion
Warning! Major spoilers for the characters I'm talking about!
*****
Section 1: The muses
They can be divided into three categories
-Muses
-The muses' OTP/BFF
-Other People's muses (bonus round)
~~
Muses
These are the characters who are capable of seriously overriding my brain when they want to, and they're the main focus of this list thingy. Some of these I have RPed a lot, some only a little, some even not at all, but I still consider them all to be my main muses.
They're roughly in the order of influence, with the ones with the most influence on the top and the ones with the least on the bottom; as of right now, but not necessarily at all times. Sometimes characters suddenly climb to the top because I'm currently hyping over them, and then sink down when I'm done with them and fangirling over someone else. Consider Raistlin to be the dividing line, the one constant; those above him are currently being fangirled over and those below him are more or less stable.
~
Mewtwo (Pokémon)
Discord (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
Jarlaxle (Forgotten Realms)
Raistlin Majere (Dragonlance)
Joker (DCU)
Knuckles the Echidna (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Flash/Wally West (DCU)
Batman (DCU)
Finland/Tino (Axis Powers Hetalia)
Gaara (Naruto)
Raphael (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
~~
OTP/BFF
These ones actually don't have a very important role in my headspace, but they hang around anyway to keep company to some of the muses who like having them around. Some of these characters I actually even RP as, because they're such an important part of the muse that they can't be separated. But I still don't consider them full-part RP muses, and they don't make a whole lot of noise in my head, regardless of how much I like these characters.
These aren't in order based on their influence, they're just in the same order as their counterparts on the true list.
~
Fluttershy, Celestia, Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
Caramon Majere (Dragonlance)
Artemis Entreri (Forgotten Realms)
Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Estonia (Axis Powers Hetalia)
Rock Lee (Naruto)
Casey Jones (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro (One Piece) (They are my head janitors. ...it's a long, complicated, and ridiculous story >.>) (I think I'll just leave them out of the equation here)
~~
Bonus Round: Other people's muses
These ones I don't play myself and they won't be included in the other parts of this analysis, but they sure float around in the heads of my muses enough to occasionally manifest themselves in my head or imaginary RP scenarios. So honourable mentions to these babbus.
~
Night Wing (Discord's little pegagriff honeybunch, an OC)
Storm Soul (Discord's own little Royal Guard and BFF/crush, an OC)
Shani Bouderau (Mewtwo's sweetheart, an OC)
Natalia/Belarus (Tino's crack-pairing OTP, who somehow managed to override the natural SweFin in my head. Not an OC!)

Section 2: Chaos vs Order
This is actually what spawned this discussion. My friend mentioned Chaos being the defining attribute between my muses (and me). So let's over-analyze just how chaotic my muses are, in my own opinion. I'm using the the D&D axis of chaos - neutral - lawful.
I use lawful and order as basically the same thing, varying the term with how it fits the situation of the character in question; after all, for some laws aren't a thing to that needs to be considered because of their realm, while for some their lack of care for law would weight more in the scale than their need for personal order.
Here I'll put both my main muse and the muse's company in the same analysis for the overall balance. Sometimes it matters little because the muse isn't too much influenced by his company, but in some cases it makes a difference. And it's an interesting tidbit anyway.
~
Mewtwo
I'd say he walks on the edge of the chaos/order line. He kind of inadvertently brings chaos where he goes, and he is certainly capable of causing it when he wants to, but he really would rather have order in his life. He is a free spirit and doesn't want to be controlled by outside forces, but he wants to control his own life and not have it disturbed once he finds the balance. But in the meanwhile, when the balance hasn't yet been found, he is a walking disaster. It's also possible to stray him from his path and turn him towards chaos instead of order.
So I'd say Mewtwo leans slightly towards chaos by default, even if he craves order. Since it isn't a clear preference for either way, I'll label him as neutral. With chaotic tendencies.
~
Discord
Gee, I wonder? It's not like he is, I dunno, The Spirit of Chaos. That would sure give a hint on his alignment on this axis. In all seriousness, he is Chaos incarnate.
He has companions to consider though. Celestia... kind of just brings contrast into his chaos without taming it at all. Twilight does pretty much the same, even though she might be able to make him hold back just a little, if only to avoid the consequences of making her pissy. Fluttershy tho! She makes him considerably tamer, in the sense that because of her he isn't making everything disorderly. But she also doesn't clip his wings by being intolerant of any and all chaos, so it doesn't fundamentally change Discord's behaviour.
Conclusion: Chaos with bare minimum order. So, chaotic.
~
Jarlaxle
Jarlaxle likes order in the sense of “this way things go my way and I'd prefer to keep it like this for as long as it works”. But that's about it. He challenges authority, rules and laws as far as he can while still getting away with it without backlash. He thrives on chaos because of his natural ability to find new opportunities from it and being prepared for everything so that while the chaos brings others off-balance, he isn't affected. He causes and manipulates chaos to make himself the only one who can ride on the wave.
His companion, Artemis Entreri, doesn't really change any of this. Artemis mostly goes with the flow when it comes to Jarlaxle, and Jarlaxle only ensures that Artemis doesn't fall off the ride. If even that.
In short, chaos is his order. Chaotic.
~
Raistlin Majere
He likes having law and order be the mainstream because it makes people and happenings predictable and easy to manipulate and work with. He hates it when chaos happens suddenly and messes with his own plans. However, he is definitely not against bringing chaos on his own wake to stir things in the hopes of opening an opportunity for himself. He doesn't have a whole lot of respect for rules and laws that make his life difficult either. He generally doesn't half-ass things, so if he needs to bend the law to get his way, he sure as hell will do just that without hesitation.
Caramon makes him slightly more balanced, especially on the rare occasions where he actually has some insight and good ideas. Raistlin also sometimes gives in to Caramon's aversion of breaking the law, if he can come up with some other idea that works as well but with the brother's better cooperation. But for the most part Caramon is a pushover and does what Raistlin says.
I would say Raistlin is only orderly when it suits his purposes, so he definitely favours the chaotic side of the axis. Chaotic.
~
Joker
Agent of Chaos, as both told and shown by all of the canons. Fuck rules, fuck order, fuck logic. In one of the comics he even becomes the God of Chaos. So there's just no question here.
He has a companion on the muses list, Batman. But really now, Batman is the reason he pulls any of this stuff. If he didn't have someone to play with, he would just be Going Sane (dat title drop!)
In short: chaos. Unrestricted chaos. He is without a doubt chaotic.
~
Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles prefers peace, quiet, and order, with occasional adventure. But actually that only applies to his own standards of order. He isn't particularly lawful really, he doesn't give a damn about the rules of others if they get in his way; he doesn't go out of his way to break rules, he just doesn't care about them. It's also notable that he is the Guardian of the Master Emerald, which is the ultimate channel of the Chaos energy and Knuckles is the only one who can fully control it.
Knuckles' companion, Sonic, in fact only makes him more chaotic by bringing adventures and troubles to stir the status quo Knuckles would be content with.
I think that while Knuckles is orderly if left to his own devices, he still cannot be labelled as lawful because of his lack of care for laws and traditions of the others. So he sits right in the middle of the axis. Neutral.
~
Flash/Wally West
Technically, as a superhero, the Flash should be an agent of order. And I suppose he is too, he doesn't really have a problem with laws and how things work. He is definitely pretty eccentric and willing to cut his villains some slack with the law, but not to the point of blatantly breaking it for the sake of what he thinks is right and good. The only chaotic thing here would be the thing with all the superheroes: they're taking the law on their own hands by fighting the crime on their own instead of leaving it to the officials. But I don't think that counts as much.
I like to BatFlash, so let's see if Batman can influence this in any manner. In fact, yes. Batman is much more liberal with the law and the Flash can be influenced easily enough as long as it's still in the name of good and justice, so if Bats says they can do something chaotic, then they can do something chaotic.
Conclusion: lawful with only the minimal dash of chaos, but it can be altered by others to a certain degree. So his label shall be lawful.
~
Batman
He is technically in it for law and justice, except... a lot more for the justice than the law. After all, he ruthlessly beats up his rogues to pulp before delivering them to the police, and he likes to keep the mafia groups around mostly un-harassed so he can get information out of them when he needs it. He has never cared for such things as “private property” or “locks on doors” or any such nonsense that would prevent him from getting exactly what he needs. He isn't above using his money and power to smooth his way out of situations either. But technically he is doing all this to maintain order and law. He just... doesn't practise what he preaches.
The Joker can enhance either side of him really. Either he starts to look like the more lawful person compared to the utter chaos of the Joker, or he loses his control and becomes more chaotic to keep up with the guy. It's complicated. The Flash might make him more likely to stay off the chaos, but he is Batman and does whatever he wants, so the chances of that happening are slim.
I think I'll have to go with neutral with chaotic tendencies.
~
Finland/Tino
In the canon he is rather lawful seeming. He isn't a main character by any means so you don't see him in lots of different situations to really judge it. However, if we go by the pure standards of him being the country of Finland and take a note of how Finland is a pretty stable and orderly place, always making sure to abide the new laws and such that EU supplies, then there is no doubt about his lawfulness.
In my hands he kind of has a few loose screws regarding certain subjects, and that may cause him to actually lose quite a bit of his rationality. He isn't afraid to occasionally take the law into his own hands either, to avoid bureaucracy and the secret of his identity leaking. So he is a bit more chaotic, even if not overtly so.
Then there's Estonia. For the most part he tends to bring out the best in Finland, and calms him down.
Deep down, I think law wins here. But there's a dash of chaos if I get to play him how I want to. So eh, I'll go with neutral. With lawful tendencies.
~
Gaara
At the beginning he was definitely just pure chaotic. But after Naruto beat some sense into him, I think he was knocked more into the neutral spectrum. He then became the Kazekage and he kind of makes and enforces the laws, so I think he shifted even further into the lawful state. But! In my headcanon his traumas and Shukaku and the lack of proper social contacts before adolescence affected him badly enough that he is still prone to chaos if triggered. We can't have too balanced a muse, now can we?
Rock Lee, his BFF/OTP, is kind of a complete mix of law and chaos bundled into one confusing person. Sure, they guy is all about obeying rules to the point of it being ridiculous, but at the same time his behaviour is just whacky and chaotic as heck. I'm not sure how this affects Gaara, but I'm sure it's glorious. /ships some more.
I'll have to go with lawful.
~
Raphael
So we take the rebellious turtle and wonder if he should be labelled lawful? No, we ain't even trying that one. He has some respect for authority deep down, but... not much. Like, so 'not much' that his lack of respect for authority is the secondary plotline of most of the turtles movies; and while he comes around at the end it's never a heel-face turn, just gaining some respect for one or two people in particular rather than all the rules in general. He is also the one who is most interested in serving justice and making criminals pay for their evil deeds, becoming a vigilante who takes the law into his own hands. He doesn't wait around for anyone else to fix things.
Casey Jones? The same. So they just complete each other nicely.
Definitely chaotic.

Section 3: Evil vs Good
Now we have the characters labelled by their lawfulness, so let's see my preferences between evil and good. Axis being evil - neutral - good.
~
Mewtwo
He isn't evil, he was just bullied enough to make him retaliate and lash out. Once he was shown some kindness, he calmed down instantly. However, I think that there is potential to make him hate everyone all over again and turn away from the good path. No-one really taught him how to act, so I don't think he really has a clear concept of good and evil in the first place. He in merely doing what he thinks is for the best when it comes to himself and those he cares about. So it could be anything at all, from saving a drowning Rattata to slaying someone who threatens his peace.
As such, I'll label him as neutral, but I'll throw in good tendencies because of his preference to avoid problems rather than cause them.
Combined with the earlier results, he is True Neutral with good or chaotic tendencies.
~
Discord
I have never seen Discord as evil, not even at his worst. It's more just unfortunate coincidence that his way of life happens to clash with everyone else's, and said everyone else immediately label it as evil. For him chaos isn't a choise, it's a permanent part of him, so if he was asked to change he was completely unable to do that and it wasn't his fault. It's not like he does what he does because he wants to hurt others, others just happen to get hurt in the process and he doesn't go out of his way to prevent it. The ponies' way of life probably hurts him as well, so if they're allowed to shove their way down his throat then logically he is allowed to do the exact same thing. He is just selfish and tries to make the most of his life the only way he knows how, just like ponies.
This only changed when Fluttershy gave him a chance instead of keeping up the attitude of “My way is the only right away and that makes you fundamentally wrong”. So now that he has a reason to tone it down, and someone to tell him why some things aren't acceptable, he is more willing to accept a bit of order into his life in exchange of others accepting a bit of chaos into theirs.
I personally label Discord as neutral, because he is just looking to have some fun instead of concerning himself on whether said fun would be seen as good or evil. So he'd be Chaotic Neutral.
~
Jarlaxle
Technically Jarlaxle is evil. He certainly doesn't really mind killing people, but at the same time he views it as a waste and avoids doing it when possible. He has a tendency to do random heroic deeds every now and then too, which kind of goes against the principle of being evil. I just... don't really see it, labelling him as pure evil. I much more think he is neutral, though granted with evil tendencies.
Besides, if I labelled him evil here, it would make him Chaotic Evil which is far from what he is like. So I'm going to stick to my opinion of his not-quite-evilness and put him as Chaotic Neutral with evil tendencies.
~
Raistlin Majere
The Test originally labels Raistlin with a Red Robe of neutrality, and that's what I think his true colour is. Yes, he dyes the robe black later, but as the last thing he does he regrets his chosen path and wishes he hadn't ruined everything and could go back to the way things were. He was certainly evil for a while there but I think that could be mostly blamed on Fistandantilus and the dragon orb influencing him, and his power going into his head. He doesn't really do things out of pure malice, he is just selfish as hell and willing to turn a blind eye to the sufferings of others if that is necessary for his own goals. He even gives everyone plenty of opportunities to get out of his way before he puts any of his plans into action. If he was pure evil, he wouldn't feel the need to do that.
Besides, if I label him as neutral here, the result will be Chaotic Neutral, which allows a lot of leeway for both good and evil. So that's exactly what I'm doing. I'll even have the nerve to add good tendencies on him, because that's what he manifested for most of the books. I think even when he was Evil (I'm thinking Neutral Evil, by the way) he still had good tendencies.
So, Chaotic Neutral with good tendencies.
~
Joker
Seriously, do we even need to discuss this? Didn't think so either. Evil. Chaotic Evil.
~
Knuckles the Echidna
He doesn't really give a whole lot of damns about what's going on in the rest of the world as long as his own island isn't in danger. But what damn he does give is the good kind. He cares for his friends, he doesn't want everyone to die, he would prefer if the world didn't end, and he will lend a hand in making sure it doesn't happen if someone asks him to. I'm going to have to go with good.
Neutral Good.
~
Flash/Wally West
Really now? Okay then. Is he evil? Pfffffft. How about neutral? Ehhh, maybe? No? Okay. Good? Of course! He is the Good glue that keeps the Justice League together and prevents them from going Justice Lords.
Lawful Good.
~
Batman
I think we can rule out him being evil. Mean for sure, ruthless for sure, but not evil. But is he good either? He certainly tries to be, but he kind of doesn't make a very convincing job of it. He does all kinds of morally gray and questionable things for the greater good, even if he tries to maintain a fine line that he can't step over. The line is pretty vague though. You should see how he treats his friends, it makes one wonder why he needs enemies. I think neutral suits him much better. Good tendencies for sure though.
So True Neutral with both good and chaotic tendencies.
~
Finland/Tino
No evil here. Also, did I yet mention that he is Santa Claus? I think that's gotta make him good by default.
Neutral Good with lawful tendencies.
~
Gaara
He certainly had his evil phase, but he got over it. But should I go by neutral or good? He seems pretty benevolent nowadays, but I personally see him more as practical than outright good. Sure, he is more than willing to fight evil and stands behind the idea of good being a desirable thing, but I personally think that heel-face turns from evil to outright good are ridiculous. The canon kind of underplays his issues anyway, and I disagree with it a lot, so why not add this into the pile.
Lawful Neutral. I'll give him good tendencies though.
~
Raphael
A vigilante that fights for the good. And unlike Batman, this one isn't sketchy as heck about it. He just finds the bad guys (never the good guys), beats them up, possibly gives them a little lecture about their bad life choices (mostly regarding their tonight's inability to avoid him), and then leaves them for the police to pick up. He never has any doubts about why he does this or if it's the right thing. He knows it's the right thing and he gotta do it.
Chaotic Good.
~~
Results:
Evil: 1 +
Neutral: 6
Good: 4 ++++

Gotta say I'm pretty surprised at the results. I expected more evil. Hmm, I suppose I leave the true evil for the favourite characters I don't RP as. And a bunch of these babbus used to be evil or evil-ish at some point anyway.
~
Mewtwo - True Neutral with good and/or chaotic tendencies
Discord - Chaotic Neutral
Jarlaxle - Chaotic Neutral with evil tendencies
Raistlin Majere - Chaotic Neutral with good tendencies
Joker - Chaotic Evil
Knuckles the Echidna - Neutral Good
Flash/Wally West - Lawful Good
Batman - True Neutral with good but chaotic tendencies
Finland/Tino - Neutral Good with lawful tendencies
Gaara - Lawful Neutral with good tendencies
Raphael - Chaotic Good

Wow, most of the scale is represented.
Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good
Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral
Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil
~
I'd just need to toss in, say, Artemis Entreri or Poison Ivy for Neutral Evil and... and... um... … I don't to Lawful Evil, apparently. Lawful is boring.
*****
Section 4: Destructive power
I like to wreck things. Let me prove it by telling you just how well my muses can destroy everything if they feel like it. I'll rate them from 1 to 10 while I'm at it. (Pffft, “1”, like that is gonna happen). Their rating will be comparative to the realm they live in, not against each other or if they were unleashed in our world. Even though in some cases they would be just as OP no matter where they were.
~
Mewtwo
Mewtwo is the world's strongest Pokémon. In the anime this is viewed as canon, even if it hasn't exactly been proved because he hasn't gone around challenging any legendaries, who would be closer to his equal than the regular mons. But nothing has been able to stop him so far and he pulls some ridiculously OP shit on a regular basis, so I think it's safe to say that the claim is pretty legit.
The games, however, prove it somewhat if you look at the base stats. About half of the legendaries share the same base stats as Mewtwo (note, Mew isn't one of them), with only Arceus being stronger than the others. So that'd make Mewtwo the second strongest, although the place is shared by many others and thus isn't overly impressive. However, Mewtwo's Mega Evolutions bring his power level past Arceus, and only Mega Rayquaza can achieve the same. That makes Mewtwo the world's strongest Pokémon, even if the title is shared with Rayquaza.
I think it's safe to say that this creature here can wreck serious shit if he so feels. That, and he seems to have some anger issues so it's actually not even all that difficult to make this happen.
I'll give his destructive power 10/10. Could destroy the planet.
~
Discord
This guy is the Spirit of Chaos, and warps reality however the hell he pleases. He is basically omnipotent, and he doesn't break a sweat no matter what kind of magical stunt he pulls. Heck, he doesn't even have to concentrate on the magicking, he just does it the moment he thinks of it. He only has one constant weakness, and that is the Elements of Harmony, which is the most powerful magic device in the ponyverse.
If he wanted to, he could just turn the planet into a pineapple and shake the ponies out of it so that he could fix himself a giant pineapple cocktail.
Destructive power, 10/10. Could make the planet stop existing.
~
Jarlaxle
Did you know that the writer of the books where this guy comes from once said “I've always thought of Jarlaxle as my walking deus ex machina...he of hte Batman utility belt.” (typo his, not mine). Yeah, that should give you a clue where this is going. He carries loads of magical items with him to get him out of any kind of trouble, to protect him against all kinds of attacks, and to have something to use against anything that he needs to defeat. When Jarlaxle is utilized in D&D it's generally assumed that anything that you can buy from a store, he already has with him, and so goes for any magical items that are considered not-rare. And then he can have anything the DM decides he should have, regardless of the price or rarity.
Oh, and he has a mercenary guild of skilled drow warriors at his disposal, if he feels that he needs backup. And since they're drow, they know stealth, silent murder, and nasty poisons.
In short, this guy can cause some serious havoc if he feels inclined to do so. Both on his own, and with his team. Imagine him deciding that a city needs to be wiped off the map; he would only have to pick whether he wants to poison their water supply or if he would rather unleash a couple hundred drow warriors on them.
I'll give him 8/10, could annihilate a large city, and can kill basically anyone he really wants to.
~
Raistlin Majere
So he is physically weak for most of his life, and using magic exhausts him. But as time goes on he starts gaining ridiculous amounts of power, enough to even overcome his physical weakness. He becomes so powerful that the Mage Conclave starts to fear that he is planning on taking over the world. But they were wrong: he planned on becoming a god. Way to underestimate him, guys.
The best part? He freaking succeeds. In an alternate timeline, which ended up not happening because Caramon saw it and warned him about it, he defeated the god he wanted to replace. Then he defeated all the other gods too, because why stop at one? He became the solitary god, but unfortunately destroyed the life from the world during the process. A major oops on his part. But the point stands: he would have won, had he not changed his plans.
So, destructive power: 10/10, capable of becoming a god.
~
Joker
This guy kills as a hobby and for a living and for kicks. He likes to blow things up and gas whole buildings among other things. There's also the canonical saying “When super-villains want to scare each other, they tell Joker stories.” So he is legit scary and a threat to literally everyone. Mostly he does this for Batman's attention, so it's nothing too big, but if Batman were to ignore him he would make it bigger and bigger until he finally got his attention. It's also a fact that Batman is the only one capable of stopping him. Other superheroes don't know how to handle him or what to expect, so they tend to fail. That, and Joker has no issues with killing them for failing to be his Batsy.
So if we were to assume that Batman went into a coma and Joker didn't know about it... that would get out of hand quickly.
Destructive power, 9/10, basically unstoppable.
~
Knuckles the Echidna
He has incredible strength, stamina and durability, high acrobatic skills and reflexes, above average speed, is an expert in close combat, and channels his short temper and anger issues into his fighting to whip himself into berserk rage. His fists can break boulders, walls and robots. Not only that, but when he is given time to think and plan, he is actually damn cunning and good at traps. And that's not all! He is the Guardian of the Master Emerald, which is The power artefact of his realm. He is the one guy who can control it fully, both to channel it's energy for his own benefit and to make it rob the energy of the Chaos Emeralds that others may be using. He is able to turn Super and Hyper with the Chaos Energy.
Pretty damn powerful then. He is easily capable of destroying his enemies on his own, and even more so with the help of the Chaos Emeralds or the Master Emerald. If he were to turn evil, he would be scary as hell. Especially if you angered him, as he can't be reasoned with in that state.
I'd say his destructive power would be around... 8/10, extremely difficult to stop.
~
Flash/Wally West
People often underestimate super speed as a superpower. But seriously? This guy moves faster than the speed of light. He could grab a hammer, run around a city and split everyone's skulls within minutes. It's really that simple. He even has the ability to vibrate his molecules in such high speed that he can pass through solid objects (even though that usually makes them explode), so it's not like anything could stop him from getting to people either.
If he plain wanted to wreck havoc rather than directly kill people, he could just run extremely fast and watch the shock-waves, earthquakes and sonic booms destroy everything in his path. And really, this is just pointing out the most obvious options he has. He is ridiculously OP if you think about it even for a second.
Solid 10/10 for destructive power. Can mess you up so fast that you were actually messed up yesterday.
~
Batman
Remember how Jarlaxle was said to be his universe's Batman with his impressive equipment collection? Well, here's the original guy. This man is prepared for everything. And by everything I mean Every. Thing. Including having plans on how to take down the other superheroes in case they go rogue. He can take down Superman. And the Flash. (At least if they're not expecting it and/or are unwilling to kill him). He is the only one who can stop the Joker. He is hardcore.
He is the master of basically all martial arts, he has unlimited supply of money to buy literally anything he wants, he has top scientists making him cool stuff, he is basically the world's greatest detective, he is effectively a genius, he is scary as hell, and he is a freaking ninja. He is the one who had the Justice League Watchtower, the satellite orbiting the Earth, designed and built. If he wanted to, he could build ten more and equip them all with lasers and nuclear bombs, all the while telling the other super heroes some bullshit lies about why he is doing this and they would all believe him happily. Then he could blast the planet right up. And after he was done destroying the planet, he would toss some kryptonite in Superman's general direction and be done with him too.
Scary. He gets 10/10 for his destructive power. Can destroy the planet.
~
Finland/Tino
He is a country, so I would assume normal humans can't kill him, except by destroying the country he is. But he doesn't really have any kind of other superpowers that would make humans incapable of physically stopping him, so that would only get him so far if he didn't have some kind of destructive resources at hand. However, in my headcanon he is a damn excellent sharp shooter, so he gets points for that. Also, he has fought in a lot of wars so he had plenty of experience in the field and probably on the tactics as well.
One could count his obvious magic powers from the Santa Claus thing as an asset, but I kind of think it would go without saying that one can't use Santa Claus powers for evil. If he could though, he would be totally OP. I mean, he would probably have the ability to stop the time or go back in it at least, as well as the power to summon any kind of item from his Santa Sack. But like said, I don't think he could utilize it like that.
In my hands he has plenty of scary abilities and strengths that would make his score quite a bit higher, but I kind of don't think it'd be fair to include them here.
Destructive power 4/10, would make an excellent terrorist or serial murderer.
~
Gaara
As the Kazekage, he is the most powerful ninja in his village, at least in the eyes of the public. He uses flying sand to crush his enemies into bloody pulp, and to protect himself with; his protection is incredibly hard to break through, while he can have his merry way attacking you from the safety of it.
I haven't finished the manga, so I don't know what becomes of him, but if we go by the assumption that he will become the bearer of Shukaku again, he will be even more powerful. People were terrified of him back when he was a murderous little brat, so if he became a murderous adult he would be much worse. He could destroy his own village very quickly if he attacked without a warning, and the other ninja villages wouldn't be having an easy time either. If he were to target normal people instead of ninjas, it would just be a total bloodbath.
Considering that he is the leader of a village, he could also just grab all of his ninjas and then attack with their help. Any place they attacked would be majorly screwed, even if they managed to defend themselves and fend them off.
Destructive power for Gaara, I'd say 8/10. Can kill basically anyone he wants to and everyone else in the village too while he is at it. Would get higher points if everyone in the canon wasn't so OP.

Raphael
Here we have a ninja with a natural armour, and anger issues. It's a thing that the turtles are better ninjas than most others, and Raphael is the second best/possibly even the best out of them. The turtle shell makes him basically bullet and weapon proof, at least some of the time. He also does this thing where he wears extra armour or conceals himself better than the others or rides some kind of cool vehicle like a motor bike, and he often has Casey as his back-up. If he wanted to wreck shit, he would do a pretty decent job about it, especially if he was angered.
I'd say his destructive power would be about 6/10. Could take down a good bunch of police officers trying to stop him from destroying everything and he could easily flee and hide for another strike.

Mewtwo - Yes, to a point. Especially if you consider the game canon, where he straight out has a berserk gene.
Discord - Nope, but I like to add some myself for certain subjects.
Jarlaxle - No.
Raistlin Majere - Yes. See how he treat Caramon. And well, basically everyone else too.
Joker - Yes. See how he treats Harley and how he deals with disappointment.
Knuckles the Echidna - Yes, it's his thing.
Flash/Wally West - No.
Batman - Yes. It's his thing.
Finland/Tino - No, but I like to add some myself for certain subjects.
Gaara - Yes, initially. Less so later, but I still don't like heel-face turns so I totally keep the issues.
Raphael - Yes. It's his thing.

Section 5: Final Conclusion
