Octopussy :D
So, those who haven't heard the story yet: My aunt opened a new clothes shop in my home city. Their mascot is a pink octopus (and the name of their shop is Octopussy, hur hur). I felt like making something nice for them, and ended up doing this figure.
She's about 120 cm tall from the lowest tentacle to the top of her head. Made the base with wire net, then pasted newspaper strips on it with wallpaper paste. Then first painted two layers of white to cover all the text and to make sure the actual colour is exactly the shade it's supposed to be. Then painted it pink, two layers again. Then painted the suction cups and the eyes. Took me about a week and half to make this (had to wait for the wallpaper paste and paint to dry at times), actual work time being 17 hours.
