More thoughts on House...
Okay, so, I'm done squeeing, and can at least try to think rationally again...
What I find interesting about this episode is that there was no underlying illness that caused everything. Usually, in every episode, everything from the initial symptoms to the violent reactions to the wrong treatments are caused by the same disease, but not this one. The reason the kid was brought to House was because of the muscle spasm thingie that happened in the beginning. That was because he was drinking too much water and his saline levels were completely screwed up. And then House kept him admitted so he could "solve" the case of the kid's claim to hear God, and they discovered the tumors, which caused the seizure and (according to House and the ducklings) the hearing voices. But then he got the dangerously high fever, because his herpes chose that time to, erm, surface physically. A chain of events, none of them really related to one another, but observed one after another by House and the ducklings because House kept the guy in the hospital for no reason other than his own skepticism in the existence of God.
