this is a real entry.

lately life has been sort of exciting.
stable, but exciting.
on monday i had an interview at our yorkdale location.
i'm going for the assistant manager position.
it's a real title, with a real salary, and real vacation time.
but that's about all i can say about that right now.
we finally have a new manager at our shop.
it only took a little over a month for everything to properly get in to place.
so during that entire time, i was doing everything.
like seriously, everything.
it was so brutal.
but in the end i can at least look back on it and pull up several important things i learned.
and speaking of learning.
on monday i did something else exciting!
i registered through the TDSB's adult continuing education courses in french!
it's beginners, but still!
it's a class!
i haven't taken a class in anything in ages!
i'm really excited. if you can't tell.
it's 11 weeks, once a week, two hours a class.
and there's a material fee!
it's completely legit!
i start sept 19.

and speaking of september; my birthday!
i've been scheming plans in my head for the celebrations.
already booked some time off.
and made a gigantic list of ridiculous things for doug to buy me.
tee. hee.
so let's backtrack here.
i missed something.
harry potter.
holy crap.
i went back to oshawa to see the midnight show with heather and bronwen in whitby.
in full costume.
and i cried like a baby.
since then i've seen it twice more.
i don't think i'll ever not cry watching that.
i'm pretty sure doug thinks i'm a film/book/music masochist, with everything i watch/read/listen making me cry for some reason or another.
also, my list of films i've seen this year has been growing.
i'm at 53 different titles since january 1, and only a handful have been repeat watches since then.
and there's ikea.
we have finally found the kitchen table/chairs, bedside tables, and dresser that we want.
i just need to save up the money now.
good thing is, after taxes and delivery costs all those things will be only around $900.
that's pretty good for all that furniture.
and i have a horrific pimple.
right on my jaw.
it's throbbing.
it seriously hurts.
one of those deeply rooted ones.
i don't think i can go on,
living with this thing on my face.
ha.
and i'm sitting at real desk right now!
no more burnt legs from using my laptop on the couch for me!
i'm using my actual chair, at our actual desk.
like a grown up.
ha.
and i've discovered my favourite tea.
the tazo earl grey.
mmmm.
i've never had any other earl grey, but i'm pretty sure it's the lavender and bergamot that makes this one so fantastic.
yes.
my hair is growing.
it's pretty long.
i haven't had a proper cut since last november?
who knows.
apparently i move to big city and become a hippy.
no more hair cuts!
no time for shaving!
and the bunny is doing well.
she's 8 months old now.
almost all grown up.
sniff.

and maybe now that i'm at a real desk, i'll be more inclined to post.
