Ok, so my official graduation date was March, 25 2006, holey hell its about time. Thank God and all before I will be 30 (June 29th)! Commencement is June 17th and I will be back out on the West Coast, yippy!!! i CANNOT WAIT!!
So I have been serving and bartending the past 7 months and I am already over it again. I cannot do to much with my degree alone, although I think it will help.
I went to a job fair a couple of weeks ago and made tons of connections, which is great. I have already been on about 3/4 interviews. Bombed the first one, did not hear back. It was for a Supervisor position in a call center for Lighthouse Credit Foundation, a non-profit organization, which is too bad because I believe in what they are doing over there, however, I was a bit out of practice or they had a better more qualified candidate? I interviewed Monday for a Supervisor in a call center for CCS Medical, it is like Liberty Medical they deliver medical supplies to people with terminal diseases for the most part. I actually interviewed last week for a CSR position for that company, but said that I thought I was over-qualified, then the recruiter agreed and called the recruiter/manager because they are looking for a Supervisor too and got me an interview with her, I thought that was most excellent. I shall hear back by realy to mid next week. Crossing fingers! Tomorrow I have an interview with AIG auto insurance. I think with my fraud background I would make a good claims adjuster. The woman interviewing me is really nice, I have spoken to her a couple of times. We will see how it goes. I really want a job and a good job with room for advancement, benefits, and good people, we shall see.
Oh and I had an interview scheduled with B of A, because remember how all the reps there were so nice and helpful, I figured that must be a good company to work for, since everyone was always really nice and helpful....well I had a bad experience. The guy that I met at the job fair was hiring for the electronic claims department which sounds a bit fraudy/chargebacky....plus I am not saying no to any interview, if nothing else it is good to practice my interview skills. So anyway long story short. The interview got set up with this one woman Tunsinya and David said we could prob negotiate $14 to start so I was like, cool. Well some other dude calls me on friday telling me the pay differential was decreased and do I still want to come for the interview, and I was like, well this is what I was told....what is it now? He said a little bit more than $13, well that is not very specific, but whatever, I said I would still like the interview. I then confirmed who I was meeting with and he promply corrected me and told me it was him now, Dakari, I was like ok.
ok, OMG this is a long story, I guess I cannot make it short, LoL....I will finish this one tomorrow. LoL
stay tuned for more on B of A.....
And Matt and I are doin good. A bit rocky, actually, I am just sort of going through so stuff, I guess, its me not him. He is wonderful.
Still livin at Moms, but will be out within the next 6 weeks I project. I owe $600 to PSU, gotta pay that first and am getting over $800 back on taxes, that is my apartment money, so all the money I make over next 2 weeks (all bills paid) will be for PSU and as soon as I get my tax mula I will be on my own, well or with Matt, but not at moms anyway!!!
I miss my friends out west! I miss you guys so much and think of you often, things make me think of you all all the time and it makes me sad.
