finding a path through the dark
so, i'm becoming a bit less of a tight-ass. part of it was definitely mongolia, part of it is just getting older. whatever all the parts, i'm liking this whole a lot more.
i have a soft spot for slightly geeky/intellectual slightly awkward guys with hearts of gold. this is manifesting itself currently through john cusack. at some point, i really should make a move. it could just get really weird. and i'm kind of a spazz sometimes...
anyways, it was really great to see reem on friday. really excited to see the parents this weekend. really looking forward to 3 weeks at christmas. see eric. meet meghan. see kat. see sash. hopefully see riegs. be goofy with pook. be with my parents for more at once than i've had since last last summer really.
ah, this summer. i think i'm going to cop out a bit. not go to a foreign country. not do a research project. just do a 6 week field course through pitt in upstate new york. it's still early though, who knows what will come up.
the past as propaganda, archaeology and nationalism, archaeology and represenations...i have so much reading to do.
and early class tomorrow.
