go cubs, go!

So I'm sure the majority of you don't actually follow or care about the cubs.  That being said, the cubs were supposed to play in Houston this weekend, except there was this little setback of, well, a hurricane.  So, after like a million hours hemming and hawing, they rescheduled the baseball game for MILWAUKEE!

My mom went and bought tickets on a whim and we drove up there and picked up my brother who goes to school there and went to the game.  And first of all, it was freaking wicked sweet because out of the 23,000ish people who showed up there with less than 24 hours notice, i think there were 10 Houston Astros fans there TOTAL.  So, that was really kind of cool.

We had pretty sweet bleacher seats, too, so THAT was also cool, and we got there early enough to see batting practice, so we saw balls flying all around us!

BUT THE NEATEST PART!

Carlos Zambrano pitched the first cubs NO HITTER IN 36 YEARS AND I WAS TOTALLY THERE TO SEE IT!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was the coolest most amazing thing ever and there was like sparkling electricity with the excitement of all the fans!  and it was a little piece of cubs history and i was totally there!

Also i think i ate 3600 calories at the ballpark alone!  AND I got a free brat!  I ordered a nacho and a beer and he said, oh, here's your brat!  and i was like steal! and then i ate it and it was very very yummy because it was free!

A good day on many fronts.

and now to work in the disaster zone that is my county tomorrow.  hurrah for floods.
