Road block, no forks or spoons here. Brick-walled smack dab in the middle of my 23rd winter, and ever since i've been here. It seems these days are shorter, spent with ink in cluttered, crowded rooms. I've been stuck within Blitzer's pages of algebra. My penmenship is plagued with x's and y's, which isn't literate to an author (or artist). He

I'm also assuming this young lady (whom I do not know, other than she showed up on my LJ friend's page) yearns to be understood, especially by her peers, and therefore won't mind so much my lending a helping hand. That's just what I do in life.
Some call me 'The Professor' -- because I can speak in an eloquent and erudite manner, on a wide variety of subjects. I'm also an accomplished English Teacher. I'd like to post a picture of a classic English tea chair, with the caption: "I is a English tea chair!" (bad grammar done on purpose for humor's sake)

Her poem is a complaint against her lack of freedom, lack of free time.
The chains that limit her freedom are self-imposed; the penitentiary she comes and goes from freely would be the college classes she's currently enrolled in. Specifically: algebra class as a jail cell.
She leaves class to go to work, just two blocks away. Her job is also stifling and restrictive of her youthful tendency to be unbridled and undisciplined. Her peers try to lure her away from her studies, tempting her to ditch class and smoke a joint instead. Eat a pot brownie, relax and listen to the tunes!"
Tune in, turn on, drop out! It's been said before, by hippy guru Timothy Leary, during the Summer of Love. He was promoting mind expansion via dropping the psychedelic drug, LSD.
He updated his own catchphrase in the last decade before his death, to say: "The PC is the LSD of the 90's." "Turn on, boot up, jack in."

ALSO -- I'll backpedal immediately (and do a couple backflips to boot)
if I've offended anyone in anyway here, by being didactic and over-explainy. Teachers tend to do that kind of thing. My BAD...
I was just trying to reach out to your young friend, Fraley, and wasn't quite sure how to go about doing it. His posts started showing up on my LJ page as well. Very stream-of-consciousness type of stuff; way less inhibited than what he tells his 'Shrink, I think.
INSERT RANDOM MOVIE PLUG HERE: Amazing young actor Anton Yelchin is a must see in Charlie Bartlett. I rank this flick right up there with "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" for offbeat teen comedies with some meat to them. (More so than Judd Apatow stoner comedies, which aren't necessarily BAD -- they just ware what they are.) Anton Yelchin has also been cast as the young Russian Ensign, Chekhov, in Star Trek.

I'm not sure Assume Fraley has even returned to read my post.
I am sure he'd rather hear from the young lady than from me.
It's just that he asked "What are the Chains?" -- but didn't get an answer.
I was left with an awkward feeling, and choose to end the silence.
There are a couple friends of mine I try to keep in touch with on LJ
They live either in Europe, New York, D.C., or Florida.
Most people have blown this Taco Stand for MySpace or Facebook.

The three most important points in Real Estate are Location, Location, Location. I tend to forget that because I live in the center of a major metropolis, I have access to hundreds of social opportunities unavailable to others in remote locations.
I've always lived in college towns, because I crave intellectual stimulation. Right now I'm enjoying the SIFF film festival. I just scored two FREE passes to the STIFF Film Festival (Seattle's True Independent Film Festival).
I distinctly remember responding to this post last week, so I'm now surprised to see it's not here. I huess I muffed it...
