Baby!

My friend had her son at 2:26am! He was 9lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. She was induced a week early, imagine how big he would have been then! She named him Wyatt.

I just got back from the endodontist. They called to see how I was this morning, and they had me come in and drilled down the filling so I can *gasp* shut my mouth now. :)

I have nothing but good things to say about that endodontist and her staff. They were all so nice and treated me great. They all asked if my friend had her baby, and shuddered when they heard how big he was.

Everything there was so high tech, they were trying to have a paperless office, and they had a camera to take pictures of the patients for their files. They had me wear sunglasses when they were working to shield my eyes from the bright lights and possible debris. They had tvs in the room and music playing, such a different experience from my usual dentist. The specialist looked younger than me, but I think the advantage there is that she's up on the latest techniques and studies more than some old doctor who is still doing things the way they did it forty years ago. That's partly why I switched allergists years ago.

Some idiot in a gold Avalon was driving stupid around me on the Interstate on the way there, and I saw an unmarked police looking car pull out and knew they were after somebody. When they pulled that guy over I cheered, haha. The cop pulled up next to the guy on the side of the Interstate and yelled at him through the window, and I could see the dude holding his hands up and mouthing, "What did I do?" Shouldn't drive like an ass through a construction zone with men working--the cops take that seriously. He was speeding and ducking through traffic without signalling, though when he was getting on the ramp he was only going 35mph and driving me crazy--cause how are you gonna merge when the traffic is going double your speed? I'd had a big line of cars behind me cause I was trying to go the posted speed, amazing how quickly they all backed off and slowed down when the cop's lights started flashing. XP Still I think it was weird that the cop pukled up next to him like that, blocking a lane of the interstate for a minute--that seems dangerous.

The storms last night were crazy. We got a ridiculous amount of rain, wind, and hail, with quite the lightshow. We had a couple waves of storms, and I guess we are getting more soon here.

Anyway, despite my raging headache, I'm going to go get some meds and buy some tissues cause I just ran out, and some jello or something. And more importantly--see if I can see the new baby! Baby baby baby!
