something not depressing

So I wanted to mention one thing that is going well in my life--since my vacation in July I've lost some weight, and I think I'm down almost two pant sizes now. I don't have a scale, but it was enough to surprise the horse when I got on her on Tuesday.

Seriously, and it was cute. I eased on carefully to not shock Rachel's old back, and her head came up, and her ears twitched together like she was receiving a message from the mothership, like Willow does (or is that the other way around?). She looked back at me "Are you on all the way?", and then made this pleased face, like, "She's lighter...KEWL". I can't motivate myself to starve for myself, the only thing that works is me thinking about getting thinner for Rachel's poor old back. It's so funny that she not only noticed, she was surprised!

Moose at work said Sunday that she'd noticed I'd lost weight, but said she hadn't wanted to say anything, cause sometimes when you tell people that they rebound back. Which I must not do, I need to reach my goal weight, but in a healthy way. And I'm going to need to take in my pants a couple inches before I have a 'wardrobe malfunction', I have to pull them back up every couple seconds, or else buy new ones. *checks bank account* Okay, so where're my needles?

They cut my hours this week, and everyone thought I was late for work Sunday cause I wasn't there in the early morning. Even the deli people said they were wondering where I was! LOL! Nope, I just wasn't scheduled till later.

He-man, the douche-bag, was kinda a jerk to me a couple times, telling me "Move!" when he wanted to bag something I was bagging. He pissed off Thug!A, who told him to get his jobs done early cause we would only have two bagger/stockers after six. He-man screwed around all day instead, and then everyone had to rush madly to get things done cause we didn't have enough staff, and we still stayed like 20 minutes after close trying to get everything done.

I got home and my right knee was swollen. It's been bugging me all week. I'm hoping I'm not in for another structural failure.

It was 43 last night--I was bundled up like it was winter. Saturday night the cat actually cuddled up with me for warmth. I rolled over once, and dragged her with me on the blankets. She woke up like 30 seconds later and made this surprised warble to find herself on the other half of the bed, it was so cute.

Here's a Rachel picture from Tuesday, and this is after we rode. It's kind of distorted by the angle, but I like her expression. She acted like she was on her last legs going out, but the faker ran all the way home with me and wasn't even breathing hard or sweatier than she'd been standing still, the faker.

I rolled my helmet across the yard to make her prick her ears up for the camera, and then she looked at me like, "Why did you do that? What was the point of that?" I think the horses continually find my actions illogical and nonsensical, like on Easter when we tried to dig up that weird metal thing in the pasture, and had to give up finally give up and rebury it. They were baffled by that. "They dug a hole, then they filled it in. That was pointless. Why would they waste the energy? It makes no sense!"

Rachel, not eating for two seconds, :P
