A rundown of a few of my favorite things...
Sports have always been a big thing in my life. I love it. I love competition, and I love the athleticism. That being said, a few of my favorite things...
The San Antonio Spurs. My first love. Being from San Antonio, there isn't much choice. I was a fan before we were really good, and I'll be a fan forever. =)
Dallas Cowboys. America's team. Again, a function of where I grew up, I love the Cowboys. Dearly.
Moving onto baseball, I am sadly a fan of the Red Sox. I never really cared about baseball. My dad used to watch the Braves when I was growing up. The first time I even bothered to pay attention to baseball was when I was dating a guy who went to school in Boston and I got caught up. That's really the only reason I have for liking the Red Sox.
Lastly, The Astros. Now that I live in Houston, I have succumbed to the pressure of rooting for at least one home town team. If they had a hockey team, I would probably have gone with that, but since I will never be a Rockets or Texans fan, I'm left with the Stros. I figure I can have two baseball teams I half cheer for, especially since they're in different leagues. So we'll go with it.
As for college teams, my allegiance first lies with the Texas A&M Aggies, obviously, since I went there. Before college though, I liked UNC basketball and Kansas basketball, so I still like both of those. Okay, we've come to the end of this useless post.
