Post-Graduation
I don't even know if someone is still reading their friend feed, but, oh well.
We're looking for an internship for my husband. We're hoping to be able to go up to Washington (into the rather latitudinarian Pacific Northwest Presbytery) to Exile Presbyterian, pastored by Jason Stellman. Rev. Stellman has been appointed to prosecute Peter Leithart by the PNW. Leithart is labouring out of bounds in the CREC, but he remains in the PCA for the sole purpose of trying to get a foothold for the FV into the PCA -- despite the fact that the PCA's GA condemned it. *sigh* (That, by the way, came straight from Leithart.)
Stellman's an interesting fellow. He fights for the two kingdoms doctrine on his blog, creedcodecult.com. He's a Westminster grad, having attended with my husband's pastor just under 10 years ago. He's planted a staunchly confessional church in Washington state. That alone makes him special. He's a conservative Westminsterian, and that suits our style perfectly, and we're really hoping to be able to get this opportunity to learn, practically, what it means to minister in a solid 2K, confessional church in a less-than-welcoming environment.
Stellman is bringing up the matter of DH's internship to the session. They've never had an intern before. It would be unpaid, so we're really hopeful that they'll accept.
