Lord & Lady please help the children
I don't know how many of you watch the news, but if you watched yesterdays news you might have seen the story about Mr Henry Cothran. I think he was 57. He used to be a cop & served in the military. He was shoot & left to die on his front porch by his fiance. They were having an argument & she picked up a gun & shot him. This man has an 11 year old little girl that lost her mother when she was 4 to cancer. She has now lost her father. She goes to my son's school. She is now in protective custody. I feel So bad for this little girl! This is also a great lost to all of the children because this man decided when his wife died that he was going to spend as much of his time as he could to volunteer at the school. He put in 300-400hrs a year in at the school...doing whatever they needed him to do. Every morning he & his daughter would put up the American flag. He would stand in the halls & high five almost ALL of the children & most afternoons he wouldn't leave until he had done the same. He always had a smile on his face & would help anybody with anything. I ask you today to please keep these children, especially his child, in your thoughts & prayers because we have all lost a great man...and for what...a disagreement? I know his child is probably in bad shape & I would guess that this will be hard on a lot of the students for a while. I don't know if they will allow the students to go to the funeral but my son wants to go. Any of you that know him...this should come as no surprise that my 7yr old wants to go to say good-bye. I am all out of words so I will end with just reminding you to please say a prayer to the higher powers to help these children & all others effected by this great loss.
