Sing, my angel of music....

Wow, long time no update, eh? Well, nothing exciting really. Work is still the usual...cousins/aunt are still here. Oh, I had a hilarious call the other day. I seriously wanted to laugh in this lady's face (well, into her ear via telephone, of course). Here it goes...

Lady: I have a question regarding a deadline.
Me: Okay, how may I help you?
Lady: I have a check that needs to be in the office today, but I'm not sure how I can make this deadline! I can't fax the check in, can I?
Me: *holding back waves of laughter* No m'am, you can't fax a check...

Then, she got her husband on the phone, and then HE asked if he could fax in the check! STUPID! Now, maybe if someone didn't understand ANYTHING about fax machines, I would understand. But these are people who have had STATE GOVERNMENT JOBS. Where they would have HAD to encounter a fax machine. YOU CAN'T FAX A CHECK AND EXPECT US TO BE ABLE TO CASH IT IN! Stupid, stupid people! (If you don't know how a fax works, for some reason, it's basically a scanner that scans a document, and sends it to another fax machine via phone lines.) THEREFORE! It would be the same as copying a check, and trying to get the copy cashed in! Some people are just crazy.

In other news, I got a new CD today. While in Lexington, browsing the electronics section of Meijer (a Wal*Mart-ish store), I spotted "Sarah Brightman--Classics". My cousins were playing video games, and I was 'watching them'. I thought, what the heck, I'm making this money from my job, but I haven't really bought anything with it. Well, I've been making school payments, but nothing really for myself. So, I splurged, and bought the wonderful CD. It's been out for a couple years, but obviously, I didn't have it. I LOVE Sarah Brightman. This CD is basically all classical-ish. Now, she is often criticized for not always using proper singing techniques, but it's still pretty and calming. Therefore, I enjoy it. And this CD is wonderful, in my eyes. So peaceful and calming. But anyhow. I'm going on about practically nothing. I guess that's what you have to do when you have a boring summer.

OH! I also found out who my roommate for next year is going to be! He's from NEVADA!!! I was like, woah! That's far away! (About a 30 hour drive, according to mapquest...) I'm excited about meeting him, etc...hope everything works out well!

Well, I have to get up early for church, so I better go to bed. Goodnight, all!

<3 Luke
