"Carry me away from this dark and lonely room..."
Okay...I can NOT wait until I leave for Transy! Not so much of having to leave home, friends, etc...but face it: I need a change from here (not the friends, but you know what I mean...life here has gotten monotonous...). Today, I went to Transy to register for classes, and had somewhat of an orientation type thing. I got to meet a few people, and we went into small groups of 6 with a professor and a student that we will be spending next year with during an orientation class. I got all the classes I wanted for my first semester--oh yeah! Here's the list of classes I will have for the first semester, not that you care or anything... :p
Foundations of Liberal Arts I (a required class, an introduction to the education we're going to get.)
Academic Career Skills (the required orientation class I was talking about earlier...no work really involved.)
Introduction to Poetry (self explanitory, eh?)
Observing the Learner (an education class, to help fulfill the EDUCATION requirements for music education)
Theoretical Skills of Music I (a music theory class, to help fulfill the MUSIC requirements for music education)
Transylvania Choir (you have to audition for it, but with my scholarship, I don't have to--woohoo!)
Vocal Lessons (I won't know who with until I get there...hmm...)
Looks like I'm going to be a busy young man! But I think I'm going to enjoy it, becuase my classes concern things I enjoy! I also hope that when I get there in the Fall, I can shed some of my shy-ness. Most of you that know me might not think I'm shy, but when it comes to meeting new people--GRACK! I'm terrible at starting conversations, etc...puh. I need to get over it, eh? I want to meet people, and make friends! Why do I have to have such terrible people skills? Hmph. The interview I mentioned in my last post went okay. Eh, I think my bad people skills showed once again. Grr. I will find out if I got into the program sometime this upcoming week. I hope I get in. Waah. Listen to me whine. Well, I will stop whining now, and get to bed. I have to wake up for church in the morning. I think it is a sin to have to wake up at 7:30 on the WEEKENDS. Puh. Anyways...
