What you never know won't hurt you...

Okay. It's Saturday night, and so far, I've had the best weekend EVER! :) Let me give you a recap of the exciting events:

Friday evening: I got to see Brock! We went out to eat, and it was tons of fun getting to catch up with him! It was so great! I had loads of fun, but sadly, I probably won't get to see him again for a really long time. You see, he lives in Florida, and was visiting his parents this past week. But his parents are moving from Kentucky, so he won't be back to visit them. And uh, I don't know when I'll see him again. Sad, really. :( But I had so much fun, it was just too great!

Early this (Saturday morning): I went to an elementary school with some people from the education department here at Transy and volunteered for their Saturday Enrichment/Learning program thing that we sponsor. (I rode with/spent the day with my friend Sarah.) The kids learn a lot of stuff, but it's all hands-on, and they really enjoy it. It felt good to get to be a part of that. :) Plus, today is "Make A Difference Day", and so I got to make a difference in the community! :D

This (Saturday) afternoon: Two words! (Well, one collective subject): MISS SAIGON! :D I went with Ann Marie to see Miss Saigon, and needless to say, it was absolutely awesome and BEAUTIFUL. Tears in my eyes. Aaah, I love musical theater. :) When we left, though, it was raining. We had walked to the musical because it's just a couple blocks from school. We decided to go to Starbucks and let the rain pass. Well, after we had drank our coffees (I had this awesome Pumpkin Spice Latte...wonderful!) the rain had only gotten worse. So we decided to suck it up and walk back to school. Needless to say that we were drenched in our dress clothes. But it was oh-so worth it! I had such an awesome time! :)

This (Saturday) evening: During dinner with Ann Marie and Sarah, we randomly decided to go visit the nursing home for Alzheimer's patients here in Lexington. It was SO WONDERFUL. For some reason, just being with the people was such a blessing, and I hadn't been so happy in a long time! (Well, the whole weekend was happy, but this was definitely one of the main highlights!) I brought my piano books, and so I got to play for the people, and Ann Marie did too. Just talking to the people made me feel so good! They seemed to really enjoy our presence, and I can't wait to go back there! All three of us had been there before during the community service project (F.U.P.) before school started. And I'm sure we'll be back some more! :D It was also another thing I did to contribute to "Make A Difference Day"!

So yeah. I am so ridiculously happy right now it isn't funny. God is so great! :D

Well, I think I'm going to go do some Music Theory and just relax. :D

Love you!

<3 Luke
