Tonight was so random and actually really great.
I got out of work early today, around 1:30, so I was able to go cash my paycheck from pasta then be early to pick teague up from work. I just hung out, there was only 1 table there when I got there so I just got to sit down and bullshit with some of the cooks and servers. Teague had me taste the batch of alfredo sauce that he made, it was really good; I love working in a kitchen with him. We just went home and hung out for a while, talking and playing pool online. They have this sweet 3-D pool game on addicting games, you can adjust english and everything so it's pretty acurate. It's dorky but whatever it's fun.
I had plans to meet nancy (my ex-s mom) for dinner at pasta at 7 so I dropped teague off at work and drove across the street to eat. She gave us a wedding gift, which was really thoughtful and we had a nice time. At first I thought it might be awkward, but it wasn't at all. We ate, talked for a bit, hugged and that was that, a simple evening. It made me think about how my life is going, since the last time she saw me was over 2 years ago. I notice that I grow up a little everyday, in a noticable way. Teague and I are looking at apartments in the stuart historic district, beautiful houses and much different than the student ghetto. I'm doing really well at my job and I'm saving a good amount of money (which I'm using part of to go to florida to visit nikki for my birthday and I'm PSYCHED). Things are moving in a really great direction and I like to stop and look at the progress sometimes, think about how far things have come.
So I'm in a great mood right now and soon I'm going to go to up and under and buy my friend nicole a drink for her 21st birthday. Man, I'm going to be 22 next month this year sped by.
