Title: Corrected for Grammar
Fandom: PS I Love Your RPS
Pairing: Jeffrey Dean Morgan/Gerard Butler
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The romance is dead.
A/N: I don’t even know where this came from! I was watching, like… TMZ and they were talking about Gerard and Jennifer Anniston’s romance and I was like, “Jeff would be totally blasé about it all…” and then this. The title is from a Fall Out Boy song, the Music or the Misery, where there’s a line “I got your love letters, corrected for grammar, and sent them back. Its true romance is dead; I shot it in the chest and in the head.” Ironically, this hasn’t been beta’d and there’s probably plenty of mistakes.

Jeff drops his head back on the couch when he hears the front door open. The dogs go running, Lolitta yapping excitedly, but Jeff’s way too comfortable to move and he waits for his lover to come find him.

“Yer not even excited I’m home,” Gerard comes into view, pouting. “The romance is dead.”

“You’re leaving me for Jennifer Aniston. The romance has been dead.”

Gerard snorts and bends to kiss Jeff hard. “That’s just promotion. I wouldn’t leave yah for Jen.” He pauses for a moment, “Maybe Angelina, but not Jen.”

“Asshole.”

Gerard grins, “Aye, that I am.”

“I get Dean this weekend.”

“Good. I miss the little bugger.”

“He wanted to make sure you were going to be there. My kid likes you better. It isn’t fair.”

“Everyone likes me better.”

Jeff rolls his eyes and tugs Gerard down onto the couch, “You’re so modest, it’s no wonder.”

“Tis a curse.”

“Enough small talk,” Jeff slides his hands under Gerard’s shirt, “I want to get laid.”

Gerard throws his head back and laughs, “The romance is most defiantly dead.”

“We’re guys, Gerry. We don’t need romance. We just need sex.”

“Good point. Race yah to the bedroom?”

“Bedroom?” Jeff wiggles a hand between the couch cushions and pulls free a tube of lube. “Where’s your sense of adventure?”

“Knew there was a reason I loved you.”

“Yah, yah. Love you too. Now, take off your pants.”
