wierd dreams
Anyone want to take a crack at this one? I seriously woke up this morning and was like, THE HELL??? O.o
I had this really messed up dream where it started out like any other normal day, except I magically had a snazzy set of wheels to get me to work in under 45 mins. Then I got in, and unlike the cramped sky scrapers the school is now a rolling community college upstate style. So I like, "huh." and go in anyway. I then proceed to punch in and make my way down to the library to unlock it. And realize its totally different and huge. I run to find Deepa (assistant director) and she tells me they're trying something new (this is actually what she told me when I lost my class >.> so yeah for creepy realism) and to go hurry and open. Then she's tells me to stop and asks what I'm wearing. So I stop and look down. I am apparently wearing a cute skimpy grape colored camisole and light jeans. So I proceed to freak out as this is most definitely not business casual. In a huff she asks me why I would think that this was work appropriate, then to just go downstairs and that I used up one of my two chances and next time would be fired.
So I freak out and run to the elevator and go downstairs. Once inside the library I turn the lights on. Th library is now huge with books to the left side, computers in the back, a coffee bar in the middle and a ladies' clothing store to the right. Yes, you heard me. There was a clothing store in the library. I, once again, was like THE HELL? WHY IS THERE A MACY'S IN THE LIBRARY? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HELP STUDENTS AND WATCH THE COMPUTERS IF THERE'S A STARBUCKS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIBRARY? WHERE THE HELL IS MY DESK? Then while I'm standing there gaping a pregnant woman pushes past me and exclaims, thank god you're open! She then starts pursuing one of the circular racks of clothes near the door. Upon finding a dress she asks me to check her out. I tell her no, the library isn't open until I find out what's going on. I then proceed to boot her out. One of other staff members tells me that that was mean, she was pregnant. I tell them I don't care, THERE'S A FUCKING MACY'S IN THE LIBRARY!
Then I remember I'm in jeans and run back in to find work appropriate clothes as wearing jeans to work is just wrong. While I'm back there poking around I run into one of the work study students who is putting out clothes. Evidently this was Career Service's idea for attracting more students to the school and asks if I want to try on what I'm holding. She then leads me back to 3 small fitting rooms which are next to the computer lab. Of course nothing fits so I just take a small black half-sweater to at least cover my arms. I then proceed to whats left of my desk in the far upper right hand corner. Of course while sitting there I can no longer see the lab thanks to Starbucks. so after 3 hours of running around I get my lunch and go back to Deepa's office to tell her it's not working. She agrees, and tells me they're making me a new desk facing the lab at the back of the Starbucks. I balk at this to no avail. I then proceed to go back downstairs only to see that the Macy's is taking over the library. With that I have a breakdown and scream WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON THIS IS NOT A LIBRARY IT'S A MALL!
And then I woke up.
