To All AIC Staff, Faculty, and Students:
We have recently confirmed that SAIC students were involved in
defacing a wall on private property in the downtown area. This
notice is issued to inform all members of the SAIC community about
the potential consequences of such an act. Among these are:
1) The potential for criminal prosecution through the City of
Chicago and other municipal authorities,
2) The initiation of disciplinary procedures as outlined in the
School's Student Handbook, and
3) The possibility of removal from the School.
These penalties are not mutually exclusive and may be administered
simultaneously. The city has made a priority of apprehending and
prosecuting anyone found to be responsible for defacing the
structures within the city, asking for felony prosecutions where appropriate.
