My limbs felt heavy as I made my way up the stairs to our private room. I had spent much of the night with Lexia and found myself caught up in a hunt far too close to dawn

That makes sense since Armand is kind of your neighbor now. I mean I don't know how many houses are between you but Lestat sort of hinted that your house was close to Armand's.
Ah well think of it this way now you can go over to Armand's and borrow his toys and he can come to your place and roll around with Lestat for a while keep him occupied while you visit Lexia.
Anyway I'm off to a hockey game. Work bought us tickets to the game(sea dogs and Shawinigan Cataractes), pizza and a beer. Should be fun.
We are in the same area of London. I'm fairly certain that is part of why Lestat chose this house.
What are you implying, chérie? I don't see Owen as any sort of toy, but I thought I might bring him a meal as I doubt that Armand keeps his refrigerator stocked with food.
I wasn't even thinking Owen when I said borrow Armand's toys. That's interesting that you thought Owen when I mention toys though. I'm sure Freud would have had fun with that. No when I said toys I was thinking more along the lines of his whips, chains, knives, swords and whatever other kinky thing he's got in his dungeon. Probably still has all that crucifixion paraphenalia he used on Lestat that time.
The Hockey game was fun thank-you. Even though our sea dogs blew a 4 point lead at the end of the 2nd period and ended up loosing 8-5. It was fun hanging out with work people.
Interesting, indeed. God knows what it says about me that my mind went immediately to that thought. Having seen the room that Armand has filled with devices similar to what you have described here, I will have to pass on borrowing any of it. While we all tend to enjoy blurring that line between pleasure and pain, Armand's tastes are a little too eccentric for me.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at the game. Are you feeling better tonight?
I suppose Armand's eccentric tastes border on the psychotic. To each their own I suppose though.
I still have this cold/flu thing, but the buckley's seems to keep the cough to a minimum, so I can sleep at night when I get home from work. Of course working these 12hr shifts aren't helping with getting rest, but I rest plenty on the weekends.
Psychotic describes it well enough, but this certainly isn't something new that he's been experimenting with. Armand has always been fascinated with things that can cause pain.
Twelve hour shifts? Perhaps you need a little time off to recover properly.
Armand and Lestat? Again? Yeah this is going to get messy.
