While a highly modified Gulfstream G650 twin-engine business jet plane is truly an incredible means of transportation, I can't help but feel a little uncomfortable traveling this way. I would have been perfectly content making my way to the coven house by train and by ship, but Armand insisted on sending one of his private jets.
The interior is as beautiful as one might expect. The furniture is of a contemporary design, mainly black and white in color with sleek leather couches and chairs alongside tables of glass and shining chrome. Large mirrors line the walls between the windows making the space seem much larger than it truly is. I can't recall the last time I saw this much of myself and I find it unsettling. Other amenities include a massive flat screen television, a marble chess table, a whirlpool tub in the bathroom and a fireplace. Yes, you read that correctly, a fireplace. I believe it may be electric, but I'm not about to ask. The bedroom at the rear of the jet is quite unique. I am told that it is a specially constructed room made of the very strongest metal alloy designed to withstand virtually any impact. It's light-proof, of course, perfectly safe for daytime travel and it locks from the inside only. Once the main door is closed, there is no outside access. I can't decide if this is brilliant, disturbing or both.
The pilot greeted me when I boarded and the small mortal crew have been nothing but polite. All have respected my request to be left undisturbed for the duration of the flight, which will be thankfully brief. The way they look at me makes me wonder if they know exactly what I am or if they simply believe me to be one of their employer's eccentric associates. I don't know what he tells them.
We should reach our destination within the hour.
