Today I went and bought my fiction writing book from the bookstore. None of my other classes have books, which must be a first. I'll have to buy stuff for my ceramics class, but no books. They've changed the bookstore around a bit. I was looking at all the craft books, looking for ones about soap making, and found this really awesome book on basic knitting. It has TONS of pictures, and instructions on pretty much everything I've been wanting to learn, like how to knit with circular needles and double-pointed needles.
That reminds me. I had a really successful day at GoodWill the other day. I picked up a ton of stuff, for only $8. I got a book on soap making, 4 huge canning jars that are just cool, 2 sets of double-pointed knitting needles, one set of regular needles, a bag of black 100% cotton yarn, a measuring cup...and I think that's it. A lot of stuff for only eight bucks.
I also bought some stuff online. I was stupid. I only spent like ten dollars on the actual stuff I was buying, but eleven dollars on shipping! Anyway, I bought a pound of coconut oil/olive oil soap base, French bath crystals, and some other salt crystals for absorbing whichever sent I get to put in the salt. It was overly expensive with the shipping, but I figured it would be fun.
Mom and I went to the Fair here on Sunday. I was ok. There was a hypnotist there that we watched. It was pretty funny when he got going. There was a grandma up on stage that was really funny. I'd never seen that done to anyone before, so it was interesting. We also got to seen N's picture that she entered. It got a second-place sticker.
(by the way, the subject header is from my cat calender, if you were wondering.)
