If I were Taylor Swift this would be a hit song in no time

(typing while angry is a good way to end up with something you'll never use but feels good. I wonder if I can have this hour be productive instead?)

Possible dedication: To the real Queen Alice. If you wanted to survive to the end of the story, you should have been nicer to me.

HA.

Anyway, we need to work on stuffs SL related. How about setting?

Ferdinand/Sigfreid's castle:
It's a lovely place, I think a lot of gently rolling hills that are charmingly farmed. It's the height of summer, so everything's in bloom and everything in the fields is ripening quickly, all manner of wildlife active and noisy. There is a forest near(ish) the castle, but not that near, we're talking like an hour's ride by horseback. It's not really a dark and spooky place, but the locals are aware that there's wolves in it and other such predators. There are plenty of streams and rivers around the countryside, which I am going to imagine in a generally golden hue, like in movies that have a flashback. Basically it's Fairytale Kingdom at the height of its golden age. The castle itself is made of white stone, with red tiled roofs and banners all over the place in the royal colors and insignia, which are...uh...
well, in GOT terms, an elaboate silver star in a dark blue field, family motto: "A guiding light." Yeah that'll do. Guiding light. They lead by example, yo. And when they can't do that, they lead literally. Fairytalelandia is not a warring nation. Their idea of national defense is to have very loyal friends, and as many friends as possible.

Odette/Odile's castle:
Enchanted Kingdomia does not have a real location, mostly moving from place to place as according to wherever it won't be noticed, or wherever the most powerful forces feel like going. It's perpetually night or twilight in the kingdom, as the forces what is tend to favor that time of day, so they move around quite a lot, chasing the sunset. Not all of it has the same weather/daylight system; there is still a small patch in the forest that is in a constant state of Teatime, and the solarium in the castle is always late morning, as well as the summer garden. Mostly though, it's night. The princesses are so used to it that it's actually disconcerting when they get to Fairytalelandia, and the night/day dynamic just keeps disorienting everything.
Anyway the castle is a glossy, shining thing, all black marble and glass and silver, not gilt, we're talking actual silver here because that's the way enchanters roll. Think the prison book for Sirrus, minus the glowing green bits. All light here is white, not colored, just in varying degrees of intensity.
So it's nestled pretty well in its own forest, which is not only dark and spooky, but very old, and very alive. It overlooks the Lake of Tears, which is an actual salt water lake and is home to any number of weird beastie and flora. Now there is some glow, the plants etc tend to have their colors underlined, and it makes for an unearthly as hell but quite beautiful scene. There are a bunch of swans here. They are not real swans. Let's keep it vague on what they are, exactly.
GOT: White swan in flight, black field, silver accent. Words: "Like a motherfucking sorcerer."
Well not exactly. But that whole family is MF sorcerers.

Hey, do Ferdie and Siggy have parents?
