can you see it on my face?
that look that says 'i miss you',
'what went wrong?', and,
'will it ever be the same again?'
can you see it in my eyes?
the thought, 'was it ever really there?'
or 'was it all just make believe inside my head?'
i can see it in your stare,
or at least i think i can,
i hope i can,
i want it to be true,
that thought that you felt it too,
that you felt something,
anything at all.
