I'm so tired of people. I consider myself a people person. I am friendly and I try to treat others as I would like to be treated. The news is full of people who get their feelings hurt and want to make some big world-wide crying fest over it. Call it making a statement, freedom of speech, whatever a person wants to call it. The loud mouths are people who infrnge on others rights but they see no harm in that because they see their mission as one that gets everyone else to play by their rules. Belief oriented Socialism.
The headline in today's paper was about an eating establishment who gave discounts to people who bowed their head or paused before their meal. Those who do not do this and the people of "Freedom From Religion Foundation" are opposed to this. People can't say Merry Christmas to customers where they work out of fear of loosing their jobs. I don't see the freedom in that. What about the other side's freedoms? I want things to go back to the way they used to be, when people could say and do the things that they wanted to do without worrying about hurting someone's feelings. I think we are living in a world of children who have not grown up. The only problem with these children is they do not "take their toys and go home," they point fingers and cry so loud that the entire nation must put up with their whining. All I hear on television is happy holidays. There is no "Merry Christmas." For a while, people said both, now they have dropped one in favor of the other.
What about the amendment that was passed by voters and then overthrown by one judge? What is the point in voting our opinions when asked if one man has the authority to throw it out? The founding fathers would be outraged. Our problem as a nation starts with the deviation from the fundamental priniciples set forth so many years ago to be people with a voice and the problem continues with those who are so obnoxiously sure that they are right and the rest of the world has none.
Atheists have no right to speak of God. If you don't believe in Him, you can't speak of Him.
