So after a delightful evening with Craig (and Anthony and Geo, burning things and stuffing our faces), he and I both decided that we really need to start using LJ again. I know I dont even have the time to post like I used to, but reading over some of my old posts, both good and bad, reminded me of how much life has changed, and how much easier things were back then, even in bad times.
Look at me know. I almost have a master's degree. I'm a homeowner. I hav a full time job that I enjoy. I'm (mostly) financially stable, at least in comparison to were I was. Many of my friends are marrying, having children. We've all grown up, some together, some apart. And although I'm getting toward where I want to be, I look back at old entries and photos, and remember the great things I've left behind, and how much I miss them.
So I want to leave those of you who have known me for awhile, a list of the good times that stick out in my mind the most, and how important even some of the little ones have been to me:
- Traveling to San Francisco with Nick on my college's dime to present my thesis, but for us, really to enjoy the city, kisses at sunset under the golden gate bridge, hanging off the cable cars, and being on the water
- Packing six fiesty twenty-somethings and a Bob into an RV and traveling down to Florida to visit Angela, swimming with the dolphns, being the only ones in the water at Daytona in January, corrupting small children with dino faces, and getting kicked out of bars
-Laying on a blanket in the overbearing heat with my bestest friends watching the South Hadley fireworks, tossing frisbees into the middle school
- Sitting on the dam at night, just watching the stars and the moonlight glisten off the water
- Evening drives home from the Cummington Fair with Jessi, our arms (and feet!) out the window, singing "Mr. Jones" at the top of our lungs under the full moon after getting chased by evil carnies
- The happy dance in the green room after the first CAP Academy show
-Dressing room mayhem behind the scenes at all the crazy dance recitals with Cass, wandering NoHo in mouse ears and noses, and pirating in the elevator at the Holyoke Mall with
- Driving the 'jolly civic' through NoHo with Erin and Theadora while being followed by the "Royal Navy!"
And more to come...
