My Spring Break
Figured I'd leave an update on Spring Break since its been a while.
Friday: went to see Little Shop of Horrors with Angela, Ali, Bob, Patrick, Laura, Lauren and Nick. Was fun. Despite our scary seats, and the death ride in the time traveling elevator, the show was excellent. The late night dinner at Denny's was interesting too. The chicas colored candy land pictures with two colors, and fought over the blue. Decorated Nicks pancakes, and made sweet n low sculptures. Ths is why we have to go to Dennys in CT. All the MA ones have banned us ;)
Taking advantage of my mothers strange offer, Nick slept over that night. It was fun, and relaxing, although we didn't get much sleep. And we actually tried! Le sigh.
Hurt my knee badly. The consensus is that I tore a ligament, so I sat in the audience for Rocky Sat night, and shouted lines with Cass and Tony. Was a pleasant change from being on stage every single week. Was the first time I got to watch the whole show. Stayed home with Nick sunday...he nursed my gimpy knee. Felt better on Monday
Monday: had dance with Cassie, who was also Big Gimpin'. Dressed up like Mickey and Minnie (our finale costumes) and danced with our Mouseketeers for the first time. Then, just to be weird, we kept our mouse ears and noses on, and wandered around NoHo and the mall. Got a lot of comments and compliments. One of the cell phone kiosk guys even took our picture =)
Tuesday: Nicks birthday. Hope he enjoyed it...i tried =) Overall, was a nice evening. Pizza, cake, and The Incredibles with Jessi and Matt at Nicks house. Then he came home with me again, and we slept early because...
Wednesday: Went to New York City with the crew: Bob, Angela, Patrick, Laura, Ali, Lauren, and Nick. Had a blast! We were just goofy all day. Was a nice, relaxing break from the usual. Fondled fruit in the market in Grand Central, bought comics of our alter egos in thrift stores while listening to bad opera woman singing "downtown," rode the ferris wheel in Toys R Us, looked in awe at things we wanted but could never afford in Saks 5th Avenue while taking free samples, Time Warped on the train, made faces at each other while taking pictures, planned to dine n dash at an Irish Pub, went to Chinatown to buy turtles onnly to find that everything was closed, and just had a load of fun. Felt good to be back in the city I love for a day. And just to show you how much shameless fun we had...
