[He starts walking just as Luke does, staring at his back. The long hair isn't what throws him off. When Luke came back revived, he again had long hair. No, it's the attitude.

It was mentioned that different time periods were meshed and crammed together just like the dimensions. It's possible that Luke could be from the past. Though time-space continuums weren't something he studied regularly. That wasn't exactly in his field of research, though it looks like somethings that could very well be added to it.

That would definitely complicate things between them. Not that Jade wasn't already proficient in being secretive, but things that used to be common knowledge between them is now only one-sided and this Luke was, well, if he had to pick between the present and past Luke, he wouldn't even have to think.]

Well, I've already heard about how this place is a pool of dimensions crushed together in some strange way meshing different times and space. Which, in itself, is rather convoluted.

I've also heard that we're in a survival of the fittest situation.

[He makes a pointed face at Luke as if the idea that Luke's survived this long at this stage is a nearly impossible feat.]

Yeah, it's all pretty weird and confusing and I usually just try not to think about it. Ion was here for a while before he disappeared and I'm pretty sure he said he was from my future or something, though he wouldn't tell me anything.

It can get pretty rough out here, especially with all the events...

[And then he hears Jade's last comment and he looks back to the other man with his usual half flailing glare.]

[With the way Luke is now, telling him of what happened would devastate him beyond reason. He remembers how unstable he was when controlling his hyperresonance, he doesn't want an incident to happen here.

He ignores the flailing shout.]

Of course understand the situation! I've been living in it for the last couple of months, haven't I? I know about the Animus and all the stupid events they put us through and stuff like that.

The Animus are these freaky spirit things that have all these weird powers and basically just do whatever they want. They make these events happen every other week and usually it's something stupid, like the time they made all the apples appear or the time they made the whole city go underwater and made us all half fish.

[It sounds crazy, but he is telling the truth.]

[It does sound crazy, but the fact of the matter is that he's here in the first place talking to Luke who is obviously from the past. Nothing else would totally throw him for a loop, really. Not that he's easily jarred in the first place.]

I see. Does anyone know the reason they do it? Or is it just for their morbid pleasure?
