i still care about live journal
it's sunday evening.. my sister nicole graduated from grad school (curriculum development) yet i'm as i'm sitting across from her at sweetwater in ann arbor, she's concentrating on a 500-page book she has to read by wednesday for class. she walked a little bit too early, ya know? but anyway: congratuations nicky. A++
today was my 2nd cousin Jordyn's first birthday party. my cousin tracy's lifestyle is far from traditional. however, if i didn't know that about her, walking into her house might make me want to puke. she lives in an enormous house with her partner and now child in west bloomfield. traditionally tacky artwork covers the walls. tarkay plates are on display in deep oak display cabinets. new carpets, catalog, bland color schemes, bright lighting. everything was perfectly average.. you know.. if that stuff is in your budget, anyway. but regardless of their totally boring decor i am so envious of their (tracy and ivy) minds. i only wish that i could have grown up knowing tracy as opposed to having to get to know her now. it seems a little late. but i suppose it's better than never.

a lot has been going on since i've been back from DC. it's sort of unfortunate timing, though.. i am beyond happy to be around so many fabulous people again. but i realize it's finals week and everyone is or has been busy getting their stuff together. studying and stressing out. things have been pretty low-key with me. there's a good and bad side to that.
anyway. i'd gush more about how happy i am to see everyone, but i think everyone already knows that. so i'll let you all get back to studying.
