three days in one
it's sunday morning and i've officially lost my ability to sleep in. I've been up since 8am.
Christy came to DC this weekend-- she's currently still here, but only for a few more hours and then she flies back to detroit. It was so nice having her company.. She came in on Thursday and we ordered appetizers and drinks (wine for her, tea for me) at Tryst.
I am going to list the sights we saw on saturday, because it is insane:
-national aquarium
-museum of american history and technology
-old post office
-natural history museum
-arlington cemetery
-memorial of women in the military
-lincoln monument
-vietnam memorial
-the white house
that was one freaking day. we pretty much wanted to die by the time we got back to the hotel. we walked for about 8 hours straight. oddly enough, my legs do not feel sore today at all.
the highlights of the weekend would be dual pedicures, great vietnamese food and of course, just hanging out with Christy.
this week I hope to work more on my research paper, hopefully get close to finishing it. start obsessing about how soon it will be until i'm back in Lansing. do more hanging out with DC-ians I've met.
