Gah! Christmas rush after Christmas? Wtf?

Dec 26, 2005 00:37

Anyway, here's the lowdown.

Sat. A.k.a Christmas Eve. I awoke at ten: lovely, this thing called sleep. You can ask Maggie, I don't get nearly enough of the time consuming waste. (Thought it is very lovely). At eleven I tried to wake mum up. Failed. At eleven thirty, again attempted to rouse the woman. Heard a mumbled 'Wake me at quarter till' and considered such a half failure. My stepdad called after that, and the quirky tune of the cell phone woke her. She then proceeded to say 'Glad you woke me up, hun. No one else would.' Needless to say, I put her in her lazy place.

After said morning fiasco (Not even going to DESCRIBE all it took to get Katy before noon.) I watched a little bit of Rachael and her Thirty Minute Meals. I like her and her gesticulations, or however said word of DOOM is spelled. Well, after watching Rach make a Bloody Mary dip, I grabbed the pre-sorted presents and put them into the Jeep - they were catagorized between Grandma A, Grandma M, and Other. We all piled into said Jeep, Katy cussing at me because I was a Nazi and stole the front seat, so she was forced to share hers with a very intimidating Garbage bag full of presents. Yikes.

Got to Grams. Gram bugged us about something for a half hour, while I was happily waiting for my 'breakfast at late lunch', prepared by the v. good cook, R.A. Thistlethwaite. Aka, Pap. Eggs and toast and bacon are always a good thing.

I showered, and when my uncle and co. showed up, Katy and I unwrapped our Christmas Eve stuff. Oh yeah, it was cool. Every year we get PJ's to wear that night. And, not to disappoint, we totally got them this year. Lovely, except that the pants are too long, as always. Damnit, don't these people know the meaning of 'SHORT WOMAN!'? Obviously not.

Got our church clothes then - a disaster waiting to happen. Buying me shoes without me first trying them on? Let me tell you, ladies and gents, I am the pickiest person in the world when it comes to shoes. I also have feet that have been mistaken for flippers, due to the sheer width of them. Needless to say, the nice pointy heels didn't fit on my big toe. I wore my old faithfuls, and I like it. The shrug I got was also too small, although I like it - I'm not going into specifics there, let's just say certain areas, along with my linebacker shoulders made wearing the shrug all but torture. Oops, I went into specifics. Damn.

Well, got this sleevless mock sort of clingy shirt that was metallic silver. Tchyes. Also got these weird pant thingies that come up a little before my knees - thank God it was warm. Katy, of course, had problems with her shrug and shoes - the woman has Pam Anderson look alikes, how could she NOT have problems? - so we were identical, except for our coats. I hate that. Oh well, the shirt was sex. THEN SOMETHING HORRIBLE HAPPENED!! I mentioned my watch, and, Gram, seeing how filthy the 364 day old watch was, she CUT THE BAND OFF. Needless to say, I was crushed.

Church, of course, was everything I was looking for. I sat with the chilluns (Kids) because I had to coax them into singing. Way to go, self, for being a supportive CCD teacher. I get a gold star. I didn't even get mad when this kid put a rubber band on his head and I had to stand up (In the front row of the church mind you, while Father was preaching) and pull it off, because he was unable, and his parents were two pews back. If I stay in third grade, I think I have his next year - God, give me strength. Anyway, got through the whole mass without going crazy from not knowing what time it was. (strong Phobia of not knowing what time it is.)

Since it was a chilluns mass, kids did the readings, which is cool. (My Gram, of course, wished that I could have. I wanted to too, but, hey, I'm a whole 14 now, totally a year older than those little CCD brats. I can't participate.XD)

After church, we went to Bob and Linda's, my grandparents on my stepfather's side. My boyfriend was there. <333. Oh, did I mention? Todd's girlfriend has a son who's about two. He loves me. Well, he loves my...*ahems* Anyhoo, he still likes it when I tango with him, so we're not going to be breaking up anytime soon. I was scared though - I thought we'd had our first fight! I was holding him and he started screaming! I couldn't get him to stop - here, he'd had an accident. Sorry kid, I don't do that kind of thing. I'll tell you I dropped my boyfriend and went to gag. (Not literally, I gave him to an adult that had experience in that particular field.)

Presents were excellent! Money was tight this year, and it was more about faith that gifts. Which, in my opinion, is how it should always be. Not that I don't appreciate the squishy pillow from BB&B(Mom broke my first one.), the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire video game, and latest installment of the Pendragon series, and two new purple watches. I spent the whole night saying 'I got squishy, and Harry, and Bobby [Pendragon], and Watch-y! And squishy, and Harry...'. I was the happiest chick around.

Katy went to Mass again with Bob and Linda - I was bushed by 12 and seriously considered turning in. I ended getting wired at 12:10 on a Christmas high and staying up until 3 in the morning came around and me all finally said 'Hey, we don't live here...O.o' and went home. I slept in the car, and then pass out directly as soon as my head hit the nice water bed. Heaven, lemme tell ya.

Then, four hours later (Told you I never sleep) We all got BACK in the car, went to my Gram's house - the first church Gram, Grandmother A. There, I recieved lots of shirts - mainly purple, so I can't complain. I got two pairs of jeans. The first ones are too tight, and the belt is broke on the second ones. I think it's a sign - Nikki shouldn't get new jeans. I got an alarm clock as a late present from my other Grandparents, an alarm clock that says something about waking up with God or something - it was snatched from my hands before I got get a good look. It was beautiful though, and one of my favorite gifts. I GOT A GRYFFINDOR JACKET!! And an Inu-Yasha jacket, but it's way too big and much be returned. It was the only one they had left, Mom said, and she just wanted to have it so she COULD exchange it, and so that I knew I'd have one. It was a Men's large. Seriously, Derek could fit in it, imagine little shrimpy me in that. Needless to say, it went to my knees. I got five H.P buttons too. Harry, Ron, Draco, Viktor, and Cedric, which are on the hood of said GRYFFINDOR JACKET!!!!! I got the CD player I needed, along with a zillion pairs of headphones so I am no longer on eared, cool hair color for my hair to be red, for a little while at least, heh. And...well, clothes was the main thing I got, but since I've been getting bigger - and no, I don't mean taller. >.> Memo to me, stop eating Gram's food before I get into 13's. XD. Not meant to offend, but that'd be the biggest size yet, and I don't like that number! I also got a pretty necklace, though I wish Duann wouldn't have bothered to get me jewelery, I never wear it.

...I didn't get Lunar, though I knew I wasn't going to. I was thankful for the stuff I did get, though, and that's all that I need.

...I did kind of hope that Mom would put some of my stuff back and get me my Eogiste anyway! I totally want that cologne. What? I ADORE men's cologne. Especially the stuff Gackt wears. (Okay, that sounded stalkerish. XD. Maggie found out what it was, we checked it out, and I happen to think that stuff smells better than Curve. And Curve smells good. My Uncle Todd uses Curve. He uses a pillow while he's here, I steal it when he's not looking just so I can sniff it. Damn that stuff is nice. XD.

Cara came over for Christmas, all the way from Solon Ohio, a three hour drive. We played HARRY POTTER SCENE IT. (*Cough TOTALLYOWNEDHERMORETHANSHEEVERTHOUGHTSHECOULDBEOWNED Cough* Wow, that was a cough.) Then we played Pictionary, Catchphrase, and Balderdash. Very fun.

Hey, Carl, Maggie says I should give you the Inu-Yasha hoodie. If you're nice, I just might. XDDDD

Anyway, now for the bit rush.

Tomorrow, bright an early, I'm going to Grandma Jean's. Yes, I have a lot of Grandma's. And this isn't counting Great-Grandma. Well, I'm going there, where I shall see my half-sister season and my half nephews, Jase and Eric. I shall also get my gifts from Dad. I always look foreward to that. Even if he's not so good with birthday's and...the rest of the year, he always helps his girlfriend shop for us on Christmas. It makes me feel bad, thinking that Mom got his present from us without me even knowing. Oh, rough subject, changing.

After I get back from there, on Wednesday, My Uncle Jamie's girlfriend of...lots of years' family is coming up. I've never met them, I can't wait to meet her nephew. He's thirteen - no, you dirty pervs, I'm not interested. He probably talks like an Alabamian. No offense, I'm not sure I could take his and my slang. Besides, he's probably annoying, like every other guy. Except Blair, my boyfriend. The little bundle of joy. *^_^* (I'm only saying this because he's not here sticking his hand down my shirt and screaming right now.)

I figure I'll see them on Wednesday and Thursday, then it's off the Maggie's house that evening, so that I can see her sister, Kelly, who hasn't been for three years back to this particular area. I'll stay until Friday, then it's off home again, to have a night off, them New Years and a Bob and Terry's. (NOT MY GRANPARENTS! XD). Then, of course, church, a few hours off, and school again. Wow, there goes my vacation.

Well, since I won't be on for a few days, hope you all had a great Christmas, and be sure that I'm thinking about you all. (Maggie's thinking '...she's only got two people on her friends list'. But I have people who read this anyway, so har! XD.) When I munch on my Choc chip COOKIE and all. XDDD.

MAGGIE!! JAMIE'S GETTING A BUFFALO!!!!! XDD (-.-' don't ask.)

One last thing - I don't need to prostitute myself for that 13 bucks now! Great Gram gave me 40 bucks, Maggie, as I mentioned, gave me twenty for Waldens, I got twenty-five for Old Navy, five more is coming from Great Gram because Gram by her gift for us (Katy and I), and she didn't spend all the money, and said Gram is giving us fifty I think. Hot Diggory damn. Plus we get money from Gram Jean. XD. This year is a very good year. I may even have enough to buy Lunar myself! (Unless I start saving for that pesky PS3.)

Anyway, Love you all!!

~Nikki
