SGA/SG1, John/Sam, sexpollen
He'd recognized the symbol on the pad an instant before Colonel Carter touched it and had just opened his mouth to warn her when her finger brushed against it. A moment later a fine mist sprayed up from the floor and the doors all sealed shut as Rodney's quarantine procedure went into effect.
John barely had time to think before Carter, who had gotten a stronger dose, slammed into him, pushing him back against the wall and licking a stripe up his neck while her hands were busy trying to get inside his uniform.
And in the moment before the drug-enduced lust took him over, he had to wonder just why the Ancients seemed to be so obsessed with sex.
SG1/SGA, Jack/John/Cam, proteges
Jack's proud of them, his boys. He'd known from the beginning that John Sheppard could do amazing things in Pegasus if only given the chance. Ever since he'd seen the black mark in the younger man's file for something he could respect, he'd known that Sheppard belonged in the Stargate program. And he was vindicated when the expedition finally made it back from Atlantis the first time, where Sheppard had proven that he had what it took to command.
With Mitchell, it was the sheer mule-headed stubbornness that let him walk again. It was what he needed to lead SG-1, and when he'd asked for the team, Jack had given it to him. And he'd managed to bring the team back together, even out-stubborning Carter. That was when Jack knew he'd given his team to the right man.
They may not realize it, but as far as Jack's concerned Sheppard and Mitchell are his proteges, his kids, the closest thing he'll ever have to sons again.
Leverage, Werewolf!Eliot/Nate, lonely
Eliot misses being pack. Oh, he doesn't miss the actual pack he'd been a part of, but he does miss having a pack. Having others who were like him, who understood him. It was nice. And he really misses being able to sleep in a big pile with the others on the full moon. It always made him feel less lonely.
It's only when he wakes up in Nate's bed, wolf body sprawled over a sleeping Nate, that he realizes that he's found a new pack. A better pack, for all that he's the only furry one. Because he knows that if he ever needed them, Nate and Hardison and Sophie and Parker would be there for him (especially Nate), even if they did bitch about it.
He lets out a canine chuckle and nudges his cold nose against Nate's bare shoulder, nearly falling off the bed when Nate jerks.
Yeah, he likes his new pack.
Tochwood, Gwen/Rhys, baby? there is a purple cow in our bathroom
Rhys stood in the doorway for a moment, eyes fixed on the thing in the bathtub. He only shifted his attention away when he heard Gwen opening the front door.
"Gwen, sweetie? Did you have anything especially strange at work today?"
Gwen's voice echoed slightly from the kitchen. "No, Rhys. It was a perfectly boring day. Why?"
He stared at the thing for another moment before forcing himself to back out into the hallway and head for the kitchen. "Because there's a purple cow in our bathroom. Can you maybe call up that Captain fellow of yours and get it back to wherever it belongs? I'd really like to take a shower."
Torchwood, Tosh/Ianto, cafe
It's sometime after Mary when they start, every few days popping out of the Hub for coffee and sandwiches at some small cafe just far enough away that the others shouldn't find them. And they sit for an hour or so and talk. Sometimes about serious things, things they wish they could talk about with other people, but usually they just chat about nothing. The weather, or Gwen's ugly new jacket, the new special at the Thai place they both like.
It's not much, but it's a bit of life away from Torchwood and they need it. They need to be able to sit among people just going about their ordinary lives, drink coffee that Ianto didn't make and pretend for just a little while that they're just like the people around them. Normal.
Torchwood, Ianto/Owen, fight
Even after Jack swans off after his Doctor and the four of them have to band together to keep the world from ending, Owen and Ianto still can't get along. Owen will make cutting remarks when he pretends that he thinks that Ianto can't hear, and Ianto will force Owen to drink decaf or will intentionally order Owen the wrong thing for lunch. They can't help but fight, though some of the ill will is gone now.
Now, after a day of insinuating that Ianto is next to useless, when Tosh and Gwen can't hear or see Owen will put a hand on Ianto's shoulder and tell him that Jack's a complete wanker for leaving him and Ianto can do better. And Ianto will hold back one of Owen's favorite sweets and give it to him just before he leaves the Hub.
They'll never stop fighting, but it's a bit more friendly now.
