My answer is...that's really strange, but IN AMERICA, it doesn't surprise me that much if someone thinks it is a good idea to bring an expensive piece of electrical equipment into a room full of hard surfaces, germs, and several sources of water because it would be terrible to just...put it down and pick up a book for a few minutes.

(PS This is stranger but less creepy than talking on your cell phone on the toilet. Especially in a public restroom.)

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY I was like, dude, I leave the laptop behind so I can GIVE MY EYES A BREAK, aside from aforementioned expense/germs/wet/what.
