Ah, hello, hello. How are you guys doing? Hopefully better. Anyway, just posting a little something here to ask for opinion? Or feedback, or something. So, Book of Tears is being edited (okay, who am I kidding. I'm actually rewriting this shit), because for some reason, I have decided to print it into a book? That's shameless, I know, but, oh never mind. Okay, so
this part has been completely re-written. Excerpt below. Let me know what you think? At least those who have read this, or want to read it? Whatever lol.
Not gonna post the whole thing, but just the entry at the end. XD
There are still a handful of scenes left to shoot, but he is at this point where he’s honestly glad for a break, no matter how brief it is. Then, like a godsend, one of the PAs there informed him Nino is at the parking lot, and would it be okay to check if Ohno-san can come down to talk?
He doesn’t even hesitate.
He’s there within minutes, exhausted and ready to pass out, ready to complain and tell Nino about his desire to go home, to just be with Nino, but when he gets there, he knows something is wrong.
Nino refuses to look at him even when he’s already there, standing in front of Nino. There’s this uncertainty at the curl of Nino’s lips, an inner struggle that shows up like a shadow behind the brown of Nino’s eyes. It hurts, just looking at him.
He wants to hug Nino to make it all better, but he doesn’t even get there. He didn’t get the chance. Nino is saying something about breakup, about things not working out and “I’m sorry, I know you’re busy and this might sound like it’s sudden, but it’s not. I...Shit, I know you’re working. I’m really sorry, I just. I can’t do this anymore, Leader.”
He wants to say something else, throw a tantrum if only to know what is going on, but Nino gives him this look and anything he wants to say dissipates like mist in his head. He finds himself nodding, numb to the point where he can’t even remember what he heard or where he is. He just stares at Nino, who is still saying something about helping him pack his stuff, will this weekend work for him or should they schedule it some other time?
He just nods and tells Nino whatever works for him is fine with him.
He doesn’t mean it.
He doesn’t mean any of it, but a part of him knows he can’t ever say it. He looks at Nino and sees the way Nino’s lips quiver, his eyes so bright he will wonder if they’re tears but why would it be? He should be the one crying here, but he can’t because he can’t feel anything.
Nino steps forward and pulls him into a hug.
It feels so, so wrong.
“I’m sorry.” Nino says, whispers, voice shaky. Then, he pulls away and starts walking back to his car, and he is left there wondering why it feels like Nino has taken his heart with him, and doesn't remember to give it back.
He feels hollow, he feels empty. Then he feels nothing at all.
