The Silmarillion And Sleep

Today's Writing Effort

Today was rough on me because I was so tired. I'm not getting significantly less sleep, it's just that the quality of it is worse. I've been having weird dreams. I don't remember them, but I know that I've been tossing and turning a lot more.

Oh, and my broken toe doesn't seem to be helping matters either.

Normally, I would try to get a little extra sleep in the morning once the cats are fed, but Thumper needs his eye medicine and his area cleaned, and I have to get the fire set up in the furnace before James comes down to work out, so that we aren't bumping into one another. And if I have to do all that, I might as well stay up and get everything done (make rice, put away dishes, load the dishwasher again, water the dogs, scoop the litter and animal chores on Tuesday and Wednesday).

Oh, and I had to do animal chores for James today because he forgot that today was one of his days. *Le Sigh* I don't mind too much. It was a mild day, even though the snow is finally sticking around. I just wish that I had been able to get it done in the morning instead of in the afternoon when I realized that he hadn't done it.

I did manage to get out of the house today even if it was only to take the dry cleaning into town.

And I did manage to take two short naps today so that I could make it through. And I got to spend some time with James in the evening, so that I could show him this really amazing video of some dude singing a song from The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien. At least that's where I assume it's from.
