Today's Writing Effort It was kind of a relief not to stress about writing today. I did have a bunch of things that needed doing though.
First, I went to the walk-in clinic about my toe. They confirmed that it was broken and taped it up for me and also gave me an open-toed surgical shoe, which is not quite a boot, but close.
Then I went to Walmart to get home care supplies and stopped at the library on the way home to return something that I had checked out.
I went home to get James' HSA card so that I could pick up his medication for him and then went back to town to receive our Walmart grocery order. Only, I forgot to get the medication at the Albertson's pharmacy. Doh! After I put away the groceries and checked the fire, I went back to town to get the medication, only they didn't have it in stock yet. They said it would be there tomorrow. That means that it would be a whole week late.
So, I came home and got the isolation cage ready for Thumper, who may have an eye infection. I can't even call the vet about it until tomorrow, but James and I wanted to get him inside just in case it's communicable.
In the evening, I went to the mall to see
Wicked, Part 1 with AJ, Kody, and Ethan. I invited Bastion, but he declined. The movie was amazing. They didn't let us into the theater itself for a little while because they were still cleaning it and the ticket taker guy was VERY insistent that all the patrons going to that theater wait where he could see us so that he could inform us when the crew was done and when we could go inside. After a bit, I said "fuck that" and went to wait by where I could see when the cleaning crew came out. I didn't have anywhere to sit, and I had a broken toe, so I wasn't even really supposed to be standing that much. He came back and asked why we moved and all I said was "it's getting a little crowded over there." Which was also true.
Anyway, we all enjoyed the film a great deal. I came home and gushed about it to James and felt that he would really like it, so he said he would like me to take him to see it (maybe even in Spokane) and he would like to show me the second season of
Arcane. I think that this is a fair trade.
