Today's Writing Effort
When I got up to feed the cats at 8:00am, Bastion was in the bathroom taking a bath or shower or something. I was hopeful that he wouldn't be in there for long, though I should have known better given his history. I decided to get a little extra rest and set my alarm again. James woke me up at 9:30am by setting my morning tea on my bedside table. Bastion was still in the bath. Fortunately, he didn't stay in for much longer. But I asked him to wait until at least 8:15am before he decided to take an hours long bath again.
Once I managed to get all the morning stuff done, albeit a little later than I would have liked, I spent a lot of the day working on my crochet until it was time to leave for my massage with Mariah. After my massage, I had to return something to Home Depot, get groceries at the North Reserve Albertsons, and get cat food at Pet Smart. But, in between groceries and cat food, I stopped at Barnes & Noble to use the gift card that I got for Yule. I hadn't been in that store in far too long. It was nice to be in a place that sold actual books.
When I got home, Ethan and AJ were there with James, and I joined them so that we could plan the finale of our old Dungeon Crawl Classic (DCC) game, before Bastion moves to Spokane. Which is going to be on 5.17.2023. Apparently, he is having trouble getting approved to live with his friends because he doesn't have a job and is from out of state, so James is going to get him an Air BnB for a few weeks so that he can find a job and get established a little bit in order to get in with his friends when they come out there. At least, that's the hope. IDK if it will actually work, but it's something they want to try. I'm not going to nay say it, especially if it gets Bastion out into the wide world, where I think he needs to be. It will be good for him.
I'm going to pick up Yuno from Spokane tomorrow. I can't wait to bring her home. I miss my baby girl so much.
I tried again to introduce Venus to Kore and she actually spit and hissed and then wriggled out of my arms and ran away. It's going to take a lot of time for them to get used to one another.
In the evening, James and I watched an episode of TV and talked a little bit before we called it a night.
