Trapped In The Land Of The Meat Cake
Today's Writing Effort
Today is AJ's birthday. Jenny made a meat cake, as requested. AJ brought Ethan over and their friend John showed up. Bastion made a brief appearance before disappearing back into his cave. I'm going to have to use the truck to take him to work. I hope that I don't get stuck on the way up the hill with him.
Early in the day, I had to go up to the barn to get the leaf blower so that James could try to blow some of the ash and soot out of the gym. Then he left the heater off and the door open for about half an hour to really air the place out. As hard as I've been working to keep the house warm enough so that the pipes don't freeze, that made me a little irked.
I also had to do James' laundry today and it just happened to get done in the dryer in the middle of the party, so I had to vanish for a little bit to get things put away upstairs. That was okay by me. I've been a little out of spoons lately.
I did manage to finish the blanket for the Watson Children's Shelter. Now I just need to drop it off.
