I Won!

Today's Writing Effort

Even after a couple of years off from NaNoWriMo, I managed to win. I'm not as rusty as I thought I was.

I went to town with Jenny around 1:00pm because I got to pick up my car! Woot! I even managed to get almost all the built-up chores done around town that I had been putting off due to transportation difficulties.

I did not get to put my snow tires on however, and that caused a problem. My summer tires are shot, and I tried to get up the hill and could not make it. I lost traction and then tried to back down to the bottom, since I had not gotten very far up the hill at all. But I suck at backing up and backed right into the snow on the mountain side of the road. I think it happened because I was so afraid of going off the road on the other side that I errored too far in the other direction. Oh well. I had to call a tow and get the car towed up to the house. It wasn't as bad financially as I thought it could have been. It still sucked though. I had to pee so bad that I went in the woods like a bear. UG!

But after all that was dealt with, I was home and got to unload the car and get to writing. I started practicing my winter holiday music today since it's after Thanksgiving and almost December. That was pretty nice.

James is feeling better every day, though he's still sick. And Jenny and Sappho are leaving tomorrow on a road trip to Minnesota to see her family for the holidays. They're going to take is slow, so I hope the roads aren't too bad.

That means that I'm going to be picking Bastion up from work as well as dropping him off for a little while. I may get to test the warmth of my new sleeping pad/sleeping bag combo sooner rather than later at this rate.
