Today's Writing Effort I love my cats.
This is Yuno. She is my grumpy Princess. She has to sniff a hand before it is ever allowed to touch her beautiful fur. Sometimes, not even then. She does not get along with her brother and her sister very well, except for a grudging toleration. She has asthma, and recently underwent I-131 treatment in Spokane for her hyperthyroidism. We won't know if it truly worked until next Tuesday when she has her second follow up appointment with her local vet. She is my eldest fur child, at around eight or nine years old. She was a former Colony cat, so it's a little hard to tell ages sometimes.
This is Venus. I discovered, yesterday, that she has joined her sister, Yuno, in exploring the inside of the box-spring of my bed. She also purrs at the drop of a hat and loves having me rub her tummy. She is my middle fur child, at around 6 1/2 years old. She is also a champion mouser and catcher of hummingbirds (2 to date). She also caught a bat once. She was disappointed when I took it away before she could eat it. Rabies and all.
This is Apollo. He loves to be up high. Everywhere. He also loves to get into people's cars, though he doesn't really like car rides any more than your average cat. He hunts snakes and chipmunks and birds. Occasionally mice too. He is three years old, which is firm. I brought him home as an eight-week-old kitten and the Humane Society had his DOB on file. He is my Sunny Sonny Boy.

Today was a pretty normal day except for taking the truck, with the plow on it, on a dump run. I had to wait until Jenny was back from picking some boxes up from town with it, but it was nice to get out and about for a moment.
My car should be back from the body shop on Monday. I hope.
I got to talk to my brothers a little bit today, after the holiday was over.
And I got to hang out with James in the evening and talk of weighty things.
