Beginning Again

Today's Writing Effort
I have decided to start again. I was gone for a while, from this space, and I missed it. I know that maybe a handful of people might be interested in reading anything I have to write here, but that's not why I want to do this again. This is for me, to regain something about myself, that I think I've let fall by the wayside for too long. A fallow period is sometimes needed, but to let it go too long is bad.
Anyway, enough of that maudlin talk.
The bunnies are doing pretty well. Thumper (our male) has his little straw and wood cubby behind the bird shelter, and the 6 ducks and the 4 geese seem pretty happy. The new professional fence is doing a banger of a job in keeping the livestock safe, and Simeon and Tommy got most of the bird netting up in order to keep the wild birds away from the livestock and the feed. Those damned magpies are beautiful, but also assholes.
Sappho is growing like a weed. She and Jenny are in Key West, Florida until tomorrow evening.
James and I had a date night tonight. We were going to go to Kobe for sushi, but they're not open on Tuesdays. Neither is Saketome. So, we went to 1886, which is a swanky steak place in the old Mercentile building. James was delighted with his steak. I had the pork chop and some brussel sprouts that were divine.
James had been sleeping with me in my room for the last three nights, but because I had to take Bastion to his work at 3:00am, I thought that a night apart might be best in terms of getting enough sleep.
