Today's Writing Effort I did my normal plant and animal care in the morning and got ready for my day. I washed the dishes from yesterday and finished packing for my overnight trip with
oldfellowbunyip and Gina to Stevensville for the Gaming Weekend.
I got Ethan up from bed so that he could get instructions from
maxheadwidth about chores to earn spending money on his school trip that he's leaving for tomorrow. And I left James and Bastion a note about what to do for plant and animal care while I am gone.
I'd called around yesterday while I was at the laundry mat, I called around to companies that do wildlife fencing and the folks at Grizzly Fencing sent a guy out today to measure the spot we want fenced off and will send James a quote for the job. Once that was started, I could get on the road.
I stopped at the Trucker Mall to top off the tank. Then I went to the Eastgate Albertsons to get weekend snacks. And I had to go to the ATM and the bank to deposit my Biolife money from this week. Then it took almost an hour to get to the Stone Tower Estate where the Gaming Weekend was being held.
I only slightly know some of the people who showed up. I'd met them a few times or been at the same events. They're all super nice folks and I felt comfortable right away. We played
Witch Trial,
Chrononauts, and
Rat-Snake. Then it was time for dinner. Bill and Melissa cooked and Gary supplied the wine. I didn't have any of the wine or the other booze available because I wanted to remember this weekend.
After dinner, there was a homemade Salted Caramel Cake. It was delicious and maybe even better than the one at Pure Bliss Deserts. After a short interval, most of the crew started playing
The Thing: Infection At Outpost 31. I read for a little while and chatted with the other non-players. Then I got sleepy and started getting ready for bed.
Dan and Gina weren't far behind me as the game had wrapped up. I got to snuggle with Dan for a little bit and do some making out, but then it was time for sleep and he was sleeping next to Gina, as is proper.
I got to text a little bit with James in the evening and that made me happy too.
It feels a little strange to be in
priapussy's old stomping grounds though. :)
And I miss Venus and Yuno and I hope someone brought the geese in before it got too cold.
