Today's Writing Effort
Morning animal care went without incident. I took care of the seedlings. The okra and leeks are finally getting their sprout on pretty well. I even let the geese out for the day since it was warm and sunny. I got ready for my day and then puttered around for a little bit.
Then I put away the folding kitchen chairs and put the old table out on the deck. I swept the floors and just as I was getting ready to finish that, the Best Buy Geek Squad guys came to the house to look at the washing machine. I finished my sweeping up and let them get on with their work.
When they were done, we made another appointment. They had to order a part and would be back next Thursday to put it in. That means that I am going to the laundry mat tomorrow to do 5-7 loads of laundry. *Le Sigh*
I picked Ethan up in the afternoon and dropped him off at an appointment. I met AJ and Isabella outside the drop off point and the boys and I went in to meet maxheadwidth. James asked me to stop by Kitty's workplace and pick up Bastion's things before I went home.
So I drove over there and just caught her as she was backing out of her parking spot to go to lunch. We did the transfer really quick and I got a couple of things at the Albertsons before heading home.
At home, Bastion got his things and I went to check on the animals, then he helped Deb and her husband (?) when they arrived with our new dining room table and benches and James' floating bedside tables. They didn't stay too long.
Funny side note, when I was outside, I had to re-capture a wayward Silver bunny that had broken out of Gen Pop. And I collected six eggs and had a mishap with gravity and lost all six of the eggs. Fortunately, chickens will eat their own eggs, no problem.
James came home while Deb was still here and was very excited about the new table. It really is a gorgeous piece of furniture. I'm pleased as punch to have it in our home. Jenny was excited about it too when she got home, in her own way. She's pretty chill about a lot of things. :)
I helped James with dinner and he, Bastion, and I ate and listened to music. Jenny came home after we were basically done eating and she and James caught up about the events of the day.
After dinner, I washed the dishes and watched a little TV in my room and then loaded up all of the laundry to be washed tomorrow into the back seat of the car so that I wouldn't have to do it in the morning. I also got things prepped for animal care in the morning so that I could get it done faster. Let's hope that all my prep work has the desired effect.
I wish I could have seen oldfellowbunyip today or at least tomorrow. He's going to be gone Friday-Sunday and I'm going to be busy with household things anyway. But that means that I'm not going to get to see him at all this week. :( This makes me a not happy camper. But at least I got to talk to him on the phone tonight for a wee bit. That helps.
And since tonight is Wednesday, I slept in my room with the cats instead of upstairs.
